On this trip I do a loop from Sun Valley to Hansen Hills to Pacoima through the Hansen Dam Wild Life Reserve to Shadow Hills and back down to Sun Valley where I visit seven sirens and discover some new food. Oh, and there's some river crossings involved.

You should head to Fresno one day. Most of their old system consisted of SD-10s and most of them are still there.

Thanks Douglas for another great walk. The last siren you showed is a little unique as the pole has been repurposed to hold the lighting fixture for the park. I have not seen any others that have had anything permanently mounted to them. The vacant pole without the siren I believe was the source of the 500 that some employees from the nearby LADWP steam plant had actually fired up many years ago. I don't know what ever became of it, but seeing it sitting in the back of a pickup truck gives you a little reference on just how large these are!

Glad you are enjoying the videos. Thank you for the anecdotes, love hearing the stories behind all sirens. I agree about the being amazed by the size of the sirens, it's always impressive to get a sense of their size. One day, hopefully, I'll get to see one up so close I can touch it... one day.

Funny thing is, I've spoken to many people who are curious about the whole siren thing, then completely surprised when I point to one like right across the street from where they either live or work. As I and others have stated, the sirens or definitely part of history hidden right in plain sight. Glad you noticed the one near one that brought back memories.

Great video as usual! You should do a walk dedicated to Beverly Hills, as they just recently installed a brand new system of 12 Federal Signal Modulator II 6024B’s. That’d make for a cool walk, all 12 I believe are installed by now as well.
