In this video, I've put together a condensed montage of fabrication footage for my DIY air spring actuated motorcycle lift build project from start to end.
If you like what you see in this video, feel free to check out the entire build series on my channel. The build series is comprised of 6 longer format videos ranging from 20 - 30 minutes in length. I go into detail regarding the design and fabrication, so if you are interested in learning more, check that series out!
Follow me on instagram for a sneak peek of what I'm working on during the week!

Would be a great side job building these if price was right

Unfortunately the time involved to make one far outweighs what you could charge for one! Just a passion project!

Are there any safety locks or do you rely on the airbag to keep your bike up?
@blastworks
@blastworks 3 года назад
Hey Cory, I've got plans to put a simple piece of 1x2 steel on a hinge that will be on a hinge that rotates down and goes against the legs to keep things up, but for now, I just stick a tall wooden stool in under one side and it keeps it locked out just fine when I let the air bag down. The bag also keeps the lift up fine.

Sounds good!!! I was just wondering that’s all !!! Love the lift tho. Awesome work.

Do you a price breakdown or material list for this? I would love to make one and save myself the $1500 for the handy 1200.

Hey Mason! I don't have a complete breakdown, but if you go through the series on my channel (there's a playlist of the detailed build series) you should get a good idea of the materials used. I figure I spent about $300 on steel, about $30 on bearings, $100 for the good Mettle Air brand pedal I ended up using, $120 for the air spring, $20 for hose and fittings, and probably $40 for the primer and paint so just a little over $600 for the materials. Check out the detailed series on my channel!

@@blastworks Hello man, once again Nice Build!! I would be more than willing to make a $20, $30, or mabye $40 donation to you to help keep your channel funded!! If you would be able to just give me a list of lengths of the metal pieces of the lift. I don't need any instructions, just a steel pars list like 4-2x4 steel tube at 55" and so on just like that! Thank you and let me know how that sounds to you!! Take care.

@@danielmalsom7182 I greatly appreciate that Daniel, but as long as you are subbed that is good for me. Next time I'm out in the garage I'll record a quick minute or two long video with the measurements included and I'll post that, so if you're subbed you'll get notified of the upload! Thanks again for your great feedback Daniel!

Hey Daniel! Just a heads up that I'm about to upload that measurements video with a PDF linked in the description as well! Should be up in the next hour!

What's the max load?
@blastworks
@blastworks 4 года назад
Hey Grim! I honestly don't know. All of my bikes are under 400 lbs and they go up and down like there's nothing on the lift. I figure it'll do 800 or so!

Hello my ldea friend. I want you to share the technical drawings of the project with me. You would make me very happy if possible.

Hey Harun. Unfortunately there are no technical drawings for this. There is a PDF linked in the description of one of the videos in the detailed build series (check my playlists) that you can grab which has the various material lengths, but that's it!
