Great job Rick! This is very informative and I like the way you break it all down. I am especially happy you did this with the Marauder as I just got mine in, and I have a carbon tank is shipping to me as I write these comments. As always I appreciate the frankness of your reviews

@Zallaj007 it is pretty quiet.. These guns will not have much shot noise.. so the muzzle break does little or nothing.. but the nitro piston virtually eliminates the "buzz" that you get from cheaper spring guns, making it sound very quite. Crosman uses the phrase "less noise" for a reason. It is not a "quite" as say the Stoeger X20s, but the lack of secondary noises means that the perceived sound is less to the human ear. Initial indoor DB tests put it at 100+/- db. Rick

My scuba shop does it no problem. Call your local shop to see if they can accommodate 4500 psi. Also check paintball shops and welding supply stores. Cheers Rick

While true, most non-coastal areas don't have many scuba stores local. In my area in Michigan, there is only a single store that will fill compressed air, be that scuba, welding, or paintball specific. They fill to 3100 psi. The key is to figure out who fills compressed air in your area and what pressure they fill, as well as travel distance and fill cost. It used to take 80+ miles round trip to fill a tank. This would have been great there with the cost of gas and time.

200 bar is about 2900 psi.. you'll get a good number of fills from that tank. Cheers Rick.

@Zallaj007 I have the Venom hardwood in for review. I don't expect to do the "dusk" version anytime soon. The hardwood is virtually the same gun with a different type of stock so it should give us the technical data we need. Cheers Rick

I think I heard somewhere that a scuba shop would not even be able to fill a scuba tank up to 4500 PSI. Is this true?
@AirGunWeb
@AirGunWeb 12 лет назад
"most" may not be a completely true statement. It may be that in your area that is the case but from what I've found, shops can handle it. However, you can also look for paintball shops and also welding supply stores. Cheers Rick

@astrofishy35 There are several places that may be able to fill your tank.. 1. scuba shop, 2 industrial gas supply company, 3. paintball shop that supports HPA tanks. Rick

@AirGunWeb have you shot with it yet? I have heard its really quiet because of the Nitro piston and the muzzle break acts like a suppressor?

Question if my gun has a max fill pressure of 4500 can I top off my gun with this tank I got a tank a while back and it won't fill my 4500 psi guns
@AirGunWeb
@AirGunWeb 12 лет назад
@hovsep1981 Given that the shop requires the adapter, they should be able to tell you what adapter you need. But, I'd also email pyramydair's tech support and ask them. They may know as well. Rick

Rick, thanks for all the great videos. How much of a different is there in terms of the number of fills between an 87 CuF tank vs a 97 CuF tank? Also, AirPyramid is not listing this 87 CuF tank, is there a special place I need to check to find it?
@AirGunWeb
@AirGunWeb 10 лет назад
I cannot give you an exact number of fills but it will be more. I would check with Ninja Paint Ball equipment to see if they have one. Cheers, AGW

please i need help i bought a brand new Gamo dynamax . the gun does not have a preasure gage . so i never know how full the gun is .but if i fill the gun up to 3000 psi and take like 2 shots then try and top up the gun . the bar on my hand pump shows "0 bar" and its easy to pump so it does feel like 0psi.is this normal . i think my gun is broken . should it not still show the high psi if i put in then probe again after i have disconected it?or is it the hose needs to build preasure before

there is no way you paid 300 to 350 for Al 80 tank they are 170 dollars everywhere and good luck finding a place to fill a tank to 4500 psi if you want to spend 300 dollars get a steel tank you can fill it to 3400 psi and it will last 40 years
@AirGunWeb
@AirGunWeb 9 лет назад
Please watch and listen carefully. It's not just the tank.. Tank was $200 + the fill system + shipping comes to $300 +/-. As for filling to 4500 psi, I have 2 locations withing 2 miles of me that fill to 4500. However, my advice to anyone looking to get a 4500 tank is to make sure that you can get one filled where you live. If you can't, the the steel tank is the way to go. I have one of those as well and it's a great option for sure. Cheers AGW

Hi Rick my name is Aubrey I live in Florida. They can't fill 4500 PSi tanks here. I have a PCP Aspen pump air rifle. Just bought it haven't used it yet. But I've had some problems with some surgery operations that make it a little bit harder for me to pump so I wanted to get by with something I could use. but I want a tank to go with it can I still use an aluminum 3000 psi. Again they cannot feel to 4500 PSI here where I live. according to them they can fill up to 3400 PSI that's a high as they can go. so can I use 3000 to 3400 aluminum tank and be fine. I'm not going to carbon fiber and waste 15 years down the road they can't even fill it to that. any information you got would be helpful I member you back years ago. and I've been catching up on some of your gun shooting and information this year in the 2019.I know my gun has the aspirin has the pump in it.but I also have been found out that been having a high failure on the pumps build in to the aspirin PCP air rifles. but I still want a tank. I plan on filling the aspirin to about 3,000 PSI would aluminum be okay and again cannot get a 4500 PSi filled here the highest I can top is 3400 PSI. and you'd have to have a different gauge on the aluminum tank to do that when you get a chance let me know something and thank you for all the videos and information too. But later on I'm going to buy a cheap compressor available to pop the guns tanks up. But right now just out of my reach.and like I said I still got a brand new aspirin pump in the box opened it to look at it. But after I did that they won't take it back so I'm stuck with it brand new. I wish I just went with one of the new Magnum ones that were made years ago CO2 guns. I think it's a mistake I took a PCP and bought one $400. And I don't know who would buy it from me.

Just the weight never mind the pressure difference plus 15 year life span aluminum tanks are old technology.

If your gun only needs 1500 PSI I am guessing a aluminum one is probably better?
@AirGunWeb
@AirGunWeb 7 лет назад
Maybe not better.. but certainly less expensive.. if you only needs 1500 to 2000 psi then you can get a lot of fills from a 3000 psi aluminum tank. cheers AGW
