I agree with the 2nd one because that was my exact thought that someone came while you were gone and messed with that handle because they couldn’t get in the night before. But how stupid did they think you were to actually think that you’d stay with that huge whole in the door🤦🏽‍♀️

LISTENNNNNNNNNNN OKAY!!!!!! I came across your page just 2 hours ago and crossed this video and I FELT THIS 100000000%. I went on vacation once and everything seemed totally fine, we booked the AirBnB, once again one thing off the list ✅ and we good to go right? We get there, and there’s this one door that’s locked in the house, and i left it alone, didn’t mention it.. until one night we were all pregaming and someone goes “what’s up with that one closed door?” i didn’t say a thing i just got on google, scrolled so many pages back and boom. The house was remodeled and that door leads to a downstairs we didn’t even know existed and now here I go scrolling like crazy back to the first few reviews on the listing and someone says that the host has someone living down there that COMES OUT, WHEN NOBODY’S IN THE HOUSE. RUINED the rest of my trip, I was SICK. ALWAYS trust your gut feelin sis. I’d rather be wrong than sorry. Cuz for all we know when we was sleeping homie coulda been eatin my flamin hot cheetos okay 🥴

Even if it was just paranoia, you were smart to follow your gut & gtfo of there. Its always better safe than sorry I always say. If something tells you that you shouldnt be somewhere, always always always listen. Thank goodness you're ok. I'm about to be moving out that way myself but I'm always sketchy anyways about where I stay at even when I'm with people. I stay on high alert anywhere I go.

What I don’t get is if he had another apartment, why didn’t he offer for you to stay in that one since it would’ve had a lock? Definitely something wrong there!!! So glad you were smart enough to listen to your gut

Had to turn the lights back on when the music goes into True Crime mode. You was listening to your intuition the whole time, so when I hear you saying "I should have.." I'm over here like, "But you did!" Alot of people wouldn't have had the aware thoughts you did or would have been afraid to be seen as not nice. It sounds like a combo of the Scenarios you mentioned mainly because instead of leaving a hole in the door, most people would gotten a new doorknob /real/ quick. "I just google mapped a hardware store 10 minutes away and going to go get a new doorknob/lock, I will be right back in about 30." Like c'mon now, Mr. AirBnB guy. Edit: Sorry for the novel, but I'm glad you're okay and maybe this situation might help you in choosing the place you end up getting too.

I'm happy that you are ok. My daughter and 2 of her friends wants to spend a few days in Miami to celebrate her friend's 21st birthday. She told me they are looking to stay in a AIRBNB, and I kind of flpped out. I don't advise it because you just don't know who's place you will be staying in. You don't know who they are, what they're capable of. You can't even trust that the last person that stay there didn't make copies of the key's so they could come back in there and do something crazy. There is too much wickedness going on these days, and we all have to be extremely careful.

Wow, just wow.....so as a Airbnb host I want to say you don't have to own the property to host there. Now for that door knob he could have literally changed the whole door knob in 5 minutes......I'm so so so glad you are ok sis this sounds like they were trying to get you

intuition is so real. I'm so glad you got away and remained safe. Energy is real, and if you felt like his energy wasn't right, then it really wasn't right. You were protected by the most high.

Love I have to say this! I'm 45 yrs old and I still ask for help and guidance from my parents, siblings and close friends on things that may seem irrelevant to others. Also there's nothing wrong with crying about being protected, safe and being grateful for the lessons learned. This video taught me things about Airbnbs that I never knew. Sometimes our experiences are to help others also. Be safe!

What makes this even more sketchy is that he didnt call or message to ask if maintenance came to fix the lock. He had some way of knowing you left without you telling him. Also he didnt message to say sorry for inconvenience or give you any of your money back. This definitely makes me think it was a set up.

Scenario 2. This could be normal, but I really don't think so. He sent in a bunch of emergency maintenance requests about not being able to get into the apartment and nobody came?? That right there just doesn't sound right. I've done an emergency request in the middle of the night at a run down, low income place and they were there within an hour. This was a set up and I'm so glad you trusted your gut

IDK if it was sex trafficking. It could have been some type of scam as well. There have been instances where people have rented things out that they have no right to rent out. It's Atlanta be cautious about everything.

How do you know your security device broke the lock? I've never seen those devices break a lock? You cannot explain away someone expecting you to stay in a room with a hole in the door. You cannot explain away someone expecting you to stay in the room that cannot be secured.

Thanks you for sharing this ❤️ I was in Atlanta this weekend and it was the worst thing, I met up with someone out there even though I’d never been to the city (I was alone) and the guy was very evil. I had never experienced such disrespect from a male EVER. He put his hands on me, broke my phone, took my ID AND left me stranded in the middle of the night (knowing about the sex trafficking that goes on there) all because I didn’t feel comfortable having sex with him. But what bothers me the most is the feeling I got when I was in the car with him. My intuition was telling me to just tell him to take me back before we got to his place but I ignored it cause I didn’t wanna be difficult 🤦🏾‍♀️ I learned that I should always listen to my intuition no matter what cause things could definitely have gone worse and I really could’ve not even made it back. I really Thank God 🙏🏾 for getting me out of that situation safe but it hurts knowing that I could’ve prevented it all if I had just listened to my intuition 😞 I also have a Pisces moon 🌙 and I accredit that for having such a strong intuition that I need to stop ignoring. The experience left me traumatized

I used to be a locksmith and this tool shouldn't have left the hole and yes you have to take allot out to fix it but not everything

Cause although you think you were being rude, you were being too nice and allowing this to go on too long. Overall, glad you got up out of there and were safe! Edit: Now, I wonder if the guy next door is in on it too. The whole let me pass by and offer a tool box to seem helpful 🤔

Girl, you did really well. Always trust your gut feeling guys, even if nothing would happen why would anybody want to stay in a place they don't feel safer than the street? I've a a bad experience where, when I first moved to England, I was walking at night heading to my place in London with my friend and decided to take the short cut ( which I always take at daytime). That street was extremely dark and knew inside of me that I should have taken the longest and brightest street, but I ignored it and ended up being attacked by 2 drugged girls who robbed me and my friend. Thank God nothing happened to us, but it was so freaking scary and started being paranoid about everything.

I love the way you expressed your reasons for not accepting $ from men and your use of the devices you used to keep yourself safe. I think you did great in this situation. As an ornery old fart, I'll add that there's nothing wrong with "I'm really not interested in chatting right now" or "I'm not interested in sharing that information" or "I see no reason to face time with you." That "host" is a nut case whether or not involved in criminal activity. I once stayed in airbnbs but no more--even as someone who isn't likely to be targeted. Too many stories like this and not enough regulation/accountability on airbnb. I hate that young women have to be so on guard these days. We all should be free to function without being preyed upon.

I read something about 5 years ago saying your first intuition is God taking to us ESPECIALLY when it comes to your safety to many signs ESPECIALLY the neighbor the bait and switch with the apartment the NOT trying to go through Air BNB another RU-vidr put up a video on how she was drugged in Atl when she traveled by herself after her friend cancelled on her last minute she did not remember how she got back to her room or what happened to her until she got a call from a stranger the next day who put her in her bed BE SAFE OUT HERE SIS always trust you inner voice

Thank you for sharing your experience. You're saving someone child from making a future mistake. You're right the intuition of your conscience, your spiritual focus, the ancestors are giving you warnings. God and the ancestors were doing their best work when you got fully focused and alert. i just finished watching both of your videos on this, and i'll be honest, in the beginning i was a little skeptical, like maybe you were blowing it out of proportion. but then as i watched more and more and more "coincidences" kept happening, i started getting that bad feeling. i even thought of some experiences that i have had myself that i know most people would find hard to believe because they just seem too insane to possibly be true. i then put myself in your shoes and god, i would have gotten the hell out of there too. even if it did wind up being nothing, like you said, it could have been something. and if you're traveling as a single female, that's a chance you shouldn't take. i don't know if i believe in god, but something or someone definitely told you to get the hell out and maybe it was god. i'm glad you listened and got out. that's terrifying.

You would have noticed the broken door knob. I think someone tried to get in but your locks worked. That tool can not break the knob that way. He made it easier to get in the next night. You are so lucky you left. Your second scenario and gut instinct was dead on. So many women just disappear out of thin air, thank goodness you listened to your gut.

You did the right thing I would be scared too 😱 come on think about it that crap is scary as hell and not safe you was so right to leave he could have went to home depot and got a new lock and put it on there instead of leave that hole like that and you a female smh.

I had a video shoot at a air bnb it had a mini door in the walk in closet soon I seen it I said un un wtf is that it had a lock on it from the outside. It was two bedrooms they were completely separated I mean one bedroom was by the entrance of the door the second bedroom had the mini door I had my mom and kids with me. When my videographer came in the bedroom to recorded even my videographer seen the door and was like somebody in there I’m like I was thinking the same thing. So I had my mom and kids all and myself all sleep in the same room I had a bad dream while I was sleep it was so weird not to mention they didn’t even send me directions to get in on time. I had to keep pressing this button at the out side of the building wait for it to dial and tell them my room number everytime parking was around the corner I was just like this is so weird I had to pay $24 for parking walk 0.3 miles from the parking garage yes a parking garage. My thoughts was trafficking too cause the mini door in the master bedroom the process of getting in my instructions to get in we’re delayed the place was dusty and to top it off who would know my car was in a parking garage. At this point I’m done with air bnb it’s too scary. Also when I think about it the space between the rooms was a big gap someone coulda definitely had a nice size little spot to chill in behind that mini door. Then my videographer said the furnace probably behind the door because she didn’t see one while she was looking around but no I had the heat on 90 and it was cold asf it was these little heaters high up on the wall so I’m just feeling like behind that door was someone and not a furnace. I left a review explaining the mini door and they was like their apologies they really thought I had a good time……. How would you know I had a good time unless their was hidden cameras 🤔. They replied to my review really creepy I was like wtf. They like they try to make sure everything is spotless but this time they just missed their mark like wtf. Then like book with us again so we can make sure your experience is better. Oh no no no I will not book again.

That was extremely so scary. Wow. I’m going to use my own caution whenever I go on solo trips for now on. I usually just trust the processes, but no. Your gut wasn’t wrong.
