It sure would. Luckily the hardware (Skalarki) driver comes with a profile for the plane. So everything is already assigned and you just need to calibrate a few axes.

REV indicates the state of the reversers on the engines. When showing green it means the reversers properly deployed (to slow the plane down after touch down).

I do fly on VATSIM from time to time and plan to record a full flight in the future. I also participate in WorldFlight which is an annual charity event on VATSIM where we fly around the world for a week nonstop. The event takes place the first week of November and I do plan on streaming those flights.

You could use any aircraft in the A32x family. I know some users have been creative and fly the A330. The software I use models the A320ceo (CFM or IAE engines).

I am using P3D for the sim, with an A320 freeware called JeeHell FMGS.

Most of the electronics is from Skalarki. The structural components, sidesticks, and rudder pedals are from Vier-Im-Pott. The seats are from OpenCockpits.

Yes it does as it is geared specifically towards cockpit builders. That means that the software is very modular and different pieces can run on separate computers communicating over the network. This is particularly true for the displays as each one is its own executable. In my case for example I run all the screens for the Captain side (and the ECAM screens) on one computer and all the screens for the First Officer side on a second computer. The actual simulator (for the external visuals) runs on yet another computer, but that's just one possible configuration. Please just keep in mind that accordingly no virtual cockpit is provided as the expectation is that the user will have hardware for most controls. However several software front panels are available to replace missing hardware panels (e.g. entire overhead, MCDU, radio panels, etc.). That is indeed something to consider. I was able to keep my older, much smaller, setup which is much more versatile so I can fly all kinds of planes. However so far I spent most of my time in the A320 cockpit.

It does indeed cost more than some used planes, but it is still cheaper than a real A320.

I am currently still using P3D as the A320 software I use does not support MSFS 2020 quite yet.

Do you think x-planes would work?

I don't have any direct experience with X-Plane but I know the hardware I am using (Skalarki) is supported. I think the major question would be about which A320 model to use and how friendly it is to running things across multiple computers (ideally). The A320 model I am using (which does not support X-Plane) is very modular and you can run bits and pieces (instrument screens, flight model, weather radar, EGPWS, etc.) on different PCs.

And I wouldn't know which one to fly. This makes it easy to pick.

Well, although I didn't, you could easily spend that kind of money on a project like this. It is certainly not cheap but, in my view, it is worth every penny.
