Regarding passenger comfort why not get rid of the dreaded middle seat and design 2-4-2 seating in their new models for medium haul and 2-2 or 2-3 seating for short haul ?

@@AbdullahNajib-b9z maybe so but you dont get the comfort on Boeings except for 747 which there arent that many of and the A380 hasnt so far had anythng like the 777's failure rate.
Wer braucht zukünftig Boeing. Wo liegt außerhalb der USA der größte Markt? Sind das zufällig die BRICS Staaten, welche gerade fleißig an einer eigenen Luftfahrtindustrie, mit der dazugehörigen Zulieferindustrie arbeiten? Und haben momentan auch die Triebwerkshersteller große Probleme, weswegen auch Airbus schon ihr Produktion zurückfahren mußte?

The problem with Boeing as I see it, comes down entirely to a culture of bad management! Promoting a new CEO from within the failed company is a receipty for bankruptcy! One must be bold and get rid of the top and middle layers of management! Appointment proper qualified engineers with successful careers, and already established in the aircraft manufacturing industry. Bean Counter's often ruin companies.., with their bottom line thinking, which comes down too "penny wise pound foolish!" Boeing would have to convert that too cent's and dollar's. Safety and logic plus excellence in making a reliable aircraft, do not come cheap! However; if you build excellence and the markets available, then the profits will flow in and the company will be successful.
