Never even thought of using ap round for gunner turrets. Makes sense because you're usually trying to shoot through an engine, armor plates, and bullet proof glass to get to the pilot.
@ before that you have to survive cause bombers are still made if paper even tho guns were buffed to Oblivion pretty much like 2 patches after they Nerf bombers in like 1.43
If you click on test flight, look at the bottom corner of the window, it should say advanced settings or something like that. There you can choose up to 44 planes of your choice to shoot in a single flight. Plus you can change there AI difficulty ranging from rookie to veteran.
Stealth ammo : for pro’s and for AB Universal ammo : for **universal** purpose Default ammo : almost same as universal ammo Anti-air ammo : for hunting fighter and boom-and-zoom attack AP ammo : for hunting heavy-armoured targets -and for head-on attack- Tracer ammo : *_I am already Tracer_*
95% of the time I use stealth.. it just becomes so much more difficult for the enemy to effectively fight you when they don’t have an indicator of exactly where you are at based on tracers flying past. The other 5% of the time I use belts with nothing BUT tracers just for intimidation when I’m using an aircraft that has 10+ guns lol
Yeah, even with 6 machine guns the net of tracers is insane! When you shoot tracer from a tiffy with 12 guns though, man is that scary being on the wrong side of the gun!
@@K_Pyle Thy are taking a historical approach and the belts are the ones that were used on the planes in real life. And the practice ammo is innefective at shooting down planes
Pro tip: when using aircraft with defensive armament/turrets use the armored targets belt or any belt that has the most AP rounds Since you will be shooting through armored planes
As a stealth belt user I felt proud at 4:50. It's just such a great belt, if you make a proper boom&zoom attack the enemy doesn't even know what happened, and if you fail he doesn't know that anything happened at all. There's nothing he can do when you fall down on him from above at 600km/h, shooting stealth rounds from a 30mm cannon. By the time he realizes that someone's shooting at him his plane is already in shreds and you're climbing back up to safety. His gunners don't even get a chance to fire at you.
How to make fireworks in War Thunder Step 1 : Unlock and buy the F-82 Step 2 : Research the Gun pod and Belt types Step 3 : Load Tracers and take the plane out in a night map Step 4 : 'Murica F yeah!!
Stealth is such an op ammo I dont event care what you say. If you play American planes (especially in the low tiers P-40s and F4Us) you can sit up high in the air, drop on some random plane, and then climb back up and they'll have had no idea what just hit them.
@@okmanamebread9149 I know but it should be in the game It unfair they make skin for these underrated ace fighter pilot but can't make one FOR NUMBER 1 ACE FIGHTER PILOT IN THE WORLD Sry for caps lol
I use stealth 95% of the time... However, for some planes with various calibers i use something with tracers for the biggest rounds to better aim. Say for the bf-110g2, stealth for the 30 cals, stealth for the 20mms but universal or air for the 30mms. Some planes like the ones with the hispano 20s, the air rounds have no tracers and are effectively stealth even tho its labeled as air
I love stealth because when i use any other belt, the enemy almost never dies but when i use stealth rounds it just feels like one shot, one kill. Dunno why
What I love doing is taking (if you have 2 gun types) universal shells and stealth shells. You get a bit of lead, and a bit of something lethal. I did that with my premium zero.
now, why would you guys give us practice shells on the default Hispano Cannon while we are going to combat, you could've just put T or anything else that doesn't do much like imagine shooting default .303 belt with 20mm default belt with practice shells oof
If Airborne Warships were added, the round types are as follows 1. High Explosive High Explosive Rounds would range from 1 inch to 21 inches, high Explosive with a timed detonation fuses are effective against air targets like ground attack due to their damage capabilities 2. Armor Piercing AP or Armor Piercing rounds are effective against ground targets and even Other Airborne Warships, the air naval battle of Berlin for example shows 7 Airborne Fleets using Armor Piercing Rounds against German Warships, Bunkers, and Airborne Warships 3. Aerial Torpedoes Aerial/Airborne Torpedoes are modified Torpedoes that have stubby wings, and depending on the models, would have prop motors, rocket motors or jet engines, and depending on the technology used, could be laser guided, heat seaking, AG- *beats the everliving HELL out of my demon* There, like I said, Laser Guided, Heat Seaking or simply unguided, immobile targets like Hovering fortresses if they are also added, require unguided or Laser Guided Airborne Torpedoes, mobile targets like Airborne Warships require Heat Seaking Airborne Torpedoes and Airborne Torpedoes have three warheads - High Explosive Effective against Airborne Targets, even Aerial Warships as well, the only downside is that its effective against Airborne Warships with thin armor or just no armor at all - Armor Piercing Also be effective against warships with thick armor but not against aircraft - Armor Piercing High Explosive APHE or Armor Piercing High Explosive warheads are very effective against Airborne Warships not just with thick but also thin and no armor 4. Missiles Obviously, Modern Warships have missiles, same goes with Airborne Warships, long story though 5. Flak Rounds Long story, not gonna read
Aircraft ammo guide: Hispanos: a fantasy ammunition that completely strays away from its historical capabilities. Known to spark and damage equivalent to bb pellets.
Which rounds have best velocitys and wich have worst. I am thinking what should I use with Type 99 cannons and 7.7mm for Japanese Zero? And also what should I use for Ho 5 cannons and Japanese 12.7 mm machineguns for Ki 61 II Kai Otsu?
Alway load air targets whenever possible (unless you have British cannons, universal is better), air targets allow you to shred fighters, set alight heavy fighters, rip apart bombers and make short work of artillery , vehicles and AAA. Your welcome
It's really simple - HE for canons, APIT for 12mm, AP for 7mm if there are a few (Zero) and IT if there are many (Hurricane). Stealth if you somehow get into a very rare night battle.
@@generaldong-dong5635 thank for the answer, and in this game, what role it useful for ? (from your description, it seem to be a weaker version of air ammo belt)
I read always the type of machine gun or cannon. 12.7 mm is nice but 30 mm cannon is nicer. The 12.7mm U can shred and the 30 mm can penetrate. Different ammo create its more powerfull to a certain role. Ditch tracers!!! GO stealth and specialized ammo. [Dogfight=Air Bullets+Stealth] [Ground=Ground Bullets+stealth. ] I =Incendiary HE =High Explosive HEAT =High Explosive Anti Tank AP =Armor Penetrators API = Armor Piercing Incendiary APT =Armor Piercing Tracer APIT = Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer APCBC = Armour-piercing, capped, ballistic capped [These rounds travel faster.] There Is alot of choice in warthunder and some planes have better guns. 7.62 AP are not like a 30mm cannon AP. Good tutorial on point explaining Thanks!
I have a question were there ever be heavy jet bombers added into the game like B-52 Stratofortress or Russian bear tu-95MS or the British V bomber and Etc....
Hey, you can't hold on to Gaijin words. Look at what we have now. Gaijin said we won't be having supersonic jets, air-to-air missiles, composite armour and even helicopters. So much for their big "NO".
Stealth is for the people with good to perfect aim Universal or Air Targets is for mid to good aim Tracers Why aim Just hold or burst. If your aim is bad do it XD if your aim is good to perfect you are the most evil person there is. Everything else if its not over a 30 or 50mm Armored targets not to useful unless over the MM i said previously. Default.... is there even a choice... you start off with it. But Remember everything here can spark off planes with 1 mm or none at all armour on wings. You have been warned!
@@georgegeorge9361 I can agree with people can use any other belt however stealth belt for me my aim is worse with it but as i see my shells i can adjust. Only some planes i can run Stealth with because to me i aim better with it.
Doesn't matter what belt you'll choose for your plane. Fiddycal tracers are the best - and that only means that the game is broken. Especially if you compare it to Hisparkos.
Hey gaijin i have a question for you. Why is the repair cost for the TU-4 at br 8.0 only 31500sl when you have to pay 55571sl for the B29 at br 6.3? i mean… the TU-4 is an almost exact copy of the b29. so could the repair cost might get a bit lowered so we don't lose a lot of money when playing these giant war machines.
@@lostinthesauce6409 ap create holes. 20mm create big holes. So big structural problems :D AP plus i t he or other fillers cant do same damage is phisic. The mass is all in ap concept. And velocity. Dont use misc ammonition.
Xxx Xxx well i didnt get any thing from that comment but lemme explain. HE. HEI . wish supposed to doo short work of fighter and light skinned aircarft are horrible and do nothing but hits. Whule AP clip wings with ease.
@@lostinthesauce6409 Reminds me of the hvap shells for the ho 229 long ago. They were more effective than the he at everything. Occasionally gaijin will screw up the damage caused by some shells. That said, hei aren't particularly good at the moment. no real damage from the high explosive, and setting things on fire is difficult at the moment. Also, it depends on whether you shoot along the wing or not. HE will only damage what it hits. ap will go through, so you're more likely to hit the internal structures that actually hold the wing in place.
Add a function to where we can see each individual shells characteristics like we can with "pure bred" belts with only one shell in them That way I can know for example the HE filler and velocity of the 37 HE shell on the Migs.
German 20mm APHE has lower penetration than their API. When flying in ground RB, remember that these 20mm API rounds can penetrate the top of some tanks - for example Centurion engine decks - and reliably ignite them, while 'armoured target' belts cannot. Universal belts have the highest density of API.
for planes such as the bf-109 g6 and k4 i use stealth for the 13mm and air targets for the 20mm its literally amazing it destroys anything in the matter of 3 seconds
when i see a big caliber gun and small caliber gun on my plane *use stealth for the bigger caliber and tracer for the smaller caliber to guided my aim* IQ | | V
Meh, if you are using tracers from machine guns to guide your cannons, there is better ammo to use for your cannons. pros use stealth ammo because your enemy can't see it. If you still use tracers, you might as well use stronger belts like air targets.
If your going to use tracers from your machine guns to aim your bigger cannons, you might as well use stronger belts like air targets. The reason pros use stealth belts is because the enemy cannot see them. This advantage is negated if you have tracers on your other guns.
Air targets on Brit Hispano MkV is based. (Allthough do feel like the frag damage chance was nerfed slightly, remember just wrecking house in air AB with the last typhoon only needing approx 1sec burst to get a kill, but not its just constant sparks or missing some how.
Is this instructional video an indication we're not getting fixes for the myriad of historical inaccuracies with many of the Japanese machine gun and cannon ammunition? Fixing the last _"fix"_ of the Ho-103 12.7mm ammunition should be one of the top priorities.
Stealth belts, not cause I'm a good shot because cause I'm not. Tracers are just a big warning "Here I am shooting at you!!" so stealth actually lets me get kills.
for me the answer is easy: machine guns use whatever belts have the most AP and I ammo, canons whatever ahs most HE ammo, although i make sure that atleast one of the weapon belts has some tracers, preferably the machine guns now sure, machine guns may not be the best against tanks, however, one thing that makes them viable is that i stick to lower battle ratings (usually less then 3.7, although my highest just so happens to be the very same Ki-61-I-Hei used in this video) so, they have low thin enough top armor that with some luck a few shots can penetrate, but the main thing they're good at is shredding planes, as API ammo will penetrate most stuff on airplanes it has increased chance of hitting fuel tanks, which can be devastating, as well as the fact it has enough penetration to (barely) penetrate the back plates found on some air planes
I myself love the Stealth Belt i mean why not? it tears apart any enemy aircraft you throw at it and it is also effective against light armored ground targets and Vehicles + if you know how to fly you can down a significant amount of enemy Planes and get away with
i'd just like to point out that for defensive belts i'd recommend incendiary than armour piercing as you can make their engine blow up or catch fire more easily than go for the pilot if it is a single engine plane. For the german defensive 13mm the default is better than the armoured targets as it comes with an incendiary round that will work wonders when the enemy catches fire.
This is all well and good, but it overlooks the fact that when you first unlock an aircraft, you'll be limited to the stock "default" belt until you gain enough XP to unlock the other ammo types.
Load tracers when you keep getting opponents who can only seem to do head on attacks and rams. A wall of bullets they can see usually makes most of them try something else. Stealth in a head on just gets both of you killed.
Actually, every time I get mad enough to head on (like when I'm already burning or about to die and want to take one last guy with me to hell) I wait for the dude to fire first to see if he's the kind of a dude to both head-on and steal a kill. If he does, I fire too. If someone does but has stealth belt I get rekt thinking he's cool. And seeing his tracers means he's flying directly at you (because he's aiming at you), which makes it easier to hit him.
