A half hour video that provides an intro into sketching with Biro and Felt pen, the basics of technique and setting up one and two point perspective. Aimed at the beginner and younger artist who wishes to draw or sketch planes and helicopters. The video has been a response to requests from numerous Instagram followers who wish to improve their skills or learn how to draw cool planes and helicopters.
The techniques are based on Industrial Design Sketching principles.
Marc Philipp Veenendaal is an Industrial Designer who has loved planes since he was a child. Only recently has he started a Instagram gallery of his work where he sketches an image daily and uploads the results. No erasers, pencil underlays or tracing. Visit his Instagram gallery - @marc_mpv

So glad I found this tutorial on drawing Airplanes! I was planning on doing a drawing/pastel painting of similar type of WWll airplane for my grandson as a birthday present, but was having a problem with accurate perspective. Because of your outstanding tutorial, simple clear demonstration with explanations this has made the situation better for me, and towards the painting. Thank you Sir, you are a great teacher!

Excellent video !!!! well done partner ....it's hard to find Videos that explain the steps of perspective as informative and easy to follow as yours... Sometimes I would have trouble sometimes I would have trouble because I would Forget it’s ok to have the vanishing points off the page n the distant. Troll God Try sketching the section profiles of the aircraft to establish the form and then use these profile lines to highlight the form and roundness of the fuselage. See my other video tutorial of advanced perspective sketching

Awesome tutorial. This is the kind of video I want to see when I search for 'how to draw aircraft in perspective'. When you did the ellipse on the cube, should the minor axis go to the vanishing point, too? Btw, this is HELO_ONE. :-)

Isn't the minor axis of the ellipse (circle in perspective) supposed to align with the opposite vanishing point? And of course then the other axis is going to be perpendicular on the minor.
