I've bought this kit to go with some 28mm Steed and Mrs Peel figures I have. Excited to make it. Thanks for the tips. Great build and paint job. Have to get myself a posca pen.
Fun fact -the fabulous 80s synth pop is actually from the pet shop Boys! From their little known album ' sprue lies ' - they were both big modelling fans , but they eventually split over a heated airfix / revell debate !!
Nice build.. Nice subject. For a teenyweeny kit this model is great, the wheels ! The wire wheels are superb and the finished car actually sits at the correct 'ride height'. If it looks right, it is right. Nice music aswell.
the market would be there for a much bigger scale like 1/24 1/25 like any other car kit manufacturer . why piss around with a diecast scale when that scale is extensively covered to saturation point with far superior offerings from IXO ,Vanguards etc
I love to see these new kits designed specially for beginners, Airfix’s starter kits were subpar for too long. Plus, is there a car in the world more beautiful than the E Type?
Loving this build. I was disappointed to see solid axles representing the fully independent suspension, even if they threw in inboard disk brakes. Where is the realism, lol. Not sure it matters, in fact I know it doesn't but I had to nit pick SOMETHING. Terrific work, thanks. I am not a model builder, but an E-Type would be a great starting point. In the US, the 1:43 is a pre-order, and the 1:32 is out of stock. Demand for 50 Year old E-type is stronger than ever! Wheels were extraordinary. I was completely thrown by your use of split amber/red tail light lenses. Until I recalled UK/European models had these. I am so used to seeing US Spec cars.
Looks great and the british racing green is always a cracking colour for e types i have to agree kids and modern modellers are more into cars and also motorbikes more than planes and ships and i am glad to see airfix are building starter kits for them my daughter is a newish modeller and has been building kits for around a year now and she prefers the cars and bikes more than the aircraft i enjoy a starter set simply because the instructions are easy the model nearly aways falls together its that good and you can build and paint them in a couple of days the starter set glue needs to be changed as its just awful and the paint pots are nearly always dried up for me or plain rubbish paint thats full of dried bits anyway nice video and looking forward to the next one 👍
@@yorkshiremanmodels i think thats will not happen since bandai and revell have been in bed together for so many years.. i think thats why revell have still continued becauseof that partnership
@@MOS6510Models shame really because revell in my view are not on the same level as aiifix especially when it's with trying to get new modellers into the hobby
Just got THREE of this set from game for £3.98 each! Planning on doing 3 colour variants, racing green & red but unsure of the third colour. Any suggestions? I'm thinking something different like a bright yellow.
nice looking kit my mate has a real one in british racing green , he also has a roadster in metalic blue , i got a ride in a few weeks back check out my ELR car show video
