Greetings from Norway I have been a big fan of air arms so I have a AA TX200HC FAC in 4,5 and a AA pro sport FAC in 22cal but after I found your channel I got really interested in weihrauch so I bought a 97k black line and a 97 with the regular stock both 4,5 mm and FAC absolutely love them I also ordered a weihrauch 50s the pro sport is a absolutely masterpiece but the 97k with the regular stock has become my favourite gun I have hawk scopes on all of them except the pro sport there I went for a American scope because of a good package deal in the shop absolutely love your videos and I have learned a lot from you absolutely love the British airgun community
Well thank you very kindly my friend, I'm just the chap in front of the camera, it's all you guys that make the channel and give me ideas and inspiration to make the videos 👍👍👍👍👍
There's the saying "running around like a headless chicken " I think that's what's happening regarding head shots on pigeons, it's a kill shot but doesn't instantly incapacitate, in the same way a spine or heart/lung shot does, and as someone else has said their heads are almost constantly bobbing around so I've mostly always avoided head shots on them, but head shots for rats, squirrel, and rabbit, but the nerves can still fire off causing a hop, flip or the squirrel death grip
Yup mate, I commented on your 65 metres video and it just wanged off into the bondeau....lol...I should really stop with the squaddie talk people will be thinking I've lost the plot 😉👍👍👍👍
Rabbits air rifle kill zone is just behind the eye. Become a marksman so you can put shots into that one inch circle.Ignore people boasting of taking long shots, success is about being certain of the kill not taking risky shots.I used to do a lot of stalking and always used to try and get within 25 or so yards to be sure of that clean kill. I respect hunters who are patient and respect nature.
I have both the AA TX200 HC, HW97, HW100 and a AA S410 TDR. I prefer the TX200 to work on "service" but like the feel of the 97 much better as i have smaller hands. If i went hunting i'd use my HW100 every time as you cannot miss. I find i use my 97 much more at the range as i'm more of a springer guy and find them more challenging. I find alot of shooters complaining about the anti bear trap with the TX but i find the button on the 97 to be more of a problem "swings and roundabouts"
Hello Vin, on the subject of woodies I found many years ago ago with my airsporter the best option was to try and get behind and underneath them. That usually brought them down no problem.
vin after 54 years of shooting every thing from mice to wild boar i can honestly say there is no positive head shot , once the bullet leaves the gun its in the lap of the gods where it hits its target ,no one can ever say they only kill with head shots ,and on every vid just to make things look good on the shooter they say its a clean kill when 70% of the time its not . and thats a FACT
Very good comment my friend. When one looks at the side profile of say a wood pigeons head what I call the drop spot is no bigger than 10mm.... I wonder how many shooters hand on heart can say they can consistently hit 10mm shooting at say an elevated target? Over the years I have seen lobotomized pigeons, crows and such plus numerous quarry species birds with beaks broken etc. With mammals species using air rifles I will only take headshots, I keep my ranges down and I only shoot with in my capabilities, but even then every once in awhile the unspeakable happens requiring a couple de grace. 👍👍👍👍
Vince you really like the TX200HC over the HW97KT because I was gonna buy the TX200HC and I picked the HW97 over it and now I wish I didn't. Can you tell me why you like it better my friend.
Sure thing buddy, this is subjective and only my opinion. The HC has a better trigger, it's more accurate and looks just so much nicer., better stock etc etc. 👍👍👍👍
Hi Vin, Roy here, I’m wondering what scope you would use if firing a HW77k as I have this rifle and gone through 2 scopes already 1 being a west hunter 4-16x44 and a bsa. Glass cracked on both. Just for target shooting nothing else Hi guys I've just ordered a kronuspro 3-12x50, I'm hoping it's not going to get destroyed by the recoil of my HW77K, if anyone has any dealing with this scope I'd love to here
I don’t hunt Vinny but when observing Pigeons thought head shots on them would be tough because the little buggers don’t keep their heads still for long 😂 P.S I’m going to have to see that your TX HC is better than your HW77k cuz I don’t believe it 😉
Ahhh buddy you'll have to take my word on it. Next sunny day we get Ill do a direct comparison/shoot off between the pair. Don't get me wrong my 77k is an awesome gun, truly it is but the HC is better 😉
Its shot place ment..plus wst calibre u using....i take rats with .25 in upper body..it stops um quick.and thats sub 12.....177.i would.nt ..it got to be head....but its shot placement...lot hunters don.t no were.or..how to shoot.at different angles to get that placement...just my opinion...
i don’t hunt brother so can’t really comment on that one . however british boy through and through . air arms and daystate guns i own . well i do have a 98 🤣🤣🤣 have to say tge tx is a top gun bit of a tinkerer i am and i can get it apart in seconds bugger it up get it apart again fix what i buggered up then continue shooting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
