Between getting hired, starting groundschool, until the very last line check, it could take up to 6months, depending how quickly the company can get you trained. There are many variables like availability of groundschool, sim slots, and line indoc trainers. At smaller companies this process isn’t as long.
@infinitemoneyglitch5588 this video kinda covers it, as I can’t go into specific details, but the genera path is the same. I also have a video of how I became a captain, so scroll through my recent vidoes
Thank you so much for this awesome video captain ❤ I'm travelling to start my flight training this April, do you think it's the right time now to pursue a career as a pilot in Canada ?
DEC is a little simpler, as you skip the whole upgrade interview step, and just have to pass the hiring interview and then you are scheduled for initial training right away. Success will depend if you’ve had command time before, and what size aircraft you’re moving up to
Hello Yaro! I already hold a CPL in the Philippines and plan to continue my flying in Canada. I plan to do my pilot license conversion then get a flight instructor rating in Vancouver. My question is, is it hard to land a job as a flight instructor after training? And as I am already 38 years old… am I too old to aim for Canada airlines?
Hey! I recently made a video about license conversions if you need some guidance. I also have a new pay video coming Jan 1 👍🏻. Canada is hurting for pilots, how much time do you have?
Hello! Yes, I remember seeing that video before ultimately deciding to study in Vancouver. Right now my flight hours are just over 300. I know it’s not much but I really want to continue and become an airline pilot someday despite my age 😊. I find great comfort and hope in watching your videos. Will be looking forward to more of your videos next year. Happy holidays!
We all start somewhere, and Canada is a huge country, so you will find work and work your way up the ladder. Appreciate the support and happy holidays!
