You cant escape them it popped up in my tv it said "FLY EMIRATES" i went outside, i saw a kid wearing a jersey that said QATAR AIRWAYS, i went to the bathroom saw ethihad fly next to my window, then in a billboard to win a ticket to qatar for the world cup it said "QATAR AIRWAYS" 💀
As a person who has flown on Emirates, Qatar, and Turkish, I can confirm that “Fly Emirates” haunts my nightmares after thinking about my 15 hour ORD-DXB flight
The reason Etihad is rich is the Abu Dhabi state owns most of the oil resources of the country, thus funding the airline. Dubai's main profit comes from tourism, thus so many ads and sponsorships.
Soccer and f1 aren’t the only sports series to get sponsored by airlines.(if you call f1 a sport or not idrc) NASCAR understandably is sponsored by Allegiant, not only that, the Allegiant CEO owns a nascar truck team (GMS racing) and has a share in ownage for the rebranded Legacy motor club (formerly known as PettyGMS).
Even here in Australia, one of the two biggest sports in the country, AFL (Australian Rules Football) has Emirates sponsorship, with one of the teams, the Collingwood Magpies, featuring the Emirates logo on their guernsey and shorts. They truly do reach to all parts of the world, to almost every sporting championship there is.
When that map showing oil and gas giants came up, the first thing I thought of was massive, black planets made of oil, probably hosting whole civilisations owned by the USA.
0:00 "Haha this is very funny!!" *Remembers Barcelona started to suck ever since they weren't sponsored by Emirates* "Shit.............. (Cries in 8-2 and 2019-20)"

So, small story here. My dad used to work for Emirates on the A380. The UAE has 7 states or provinces. One of those states is Dubai, (Emirates's home base) And one of the other ones is Abu Dhabi, (Etihad's base) and to me the fact they have 2 major airlines in their country is just absolutley insane. He was fired from Emirates 3 years ago due to the virus. oh and btw they don't fire newest first they fire whoever they want. (my dad worked there for 36 years)
If it makes you feel better, instead of fired use laid off, it sounds more of a it wasn’t you, it was the company. Either way sorry that your dad lost his jobs. Time are tough but we will prevail.
on top of that dubai airport also serves as home base for flydubai, sharjah serves as homebase for airarabia, and abu dhabi airport also serves as home base for W!ZZ AIR. it's crazy here.
My cousin was also fired from his job while working for emirates......and worse they fired him while he was struggling with depression and anxiety( he was in hospital when he received this news) they are the most terrible airline when it comes to Employee's job security
As a matter of fact, yes. I have flown Singapore Airlines before, and their first class is arguably more extravagant than Qatar Airways, but Qatar's business class in absolutely unbelievable... their economy class is also significantly better than Singapore Airlines. Even though Singapore's airport is the most beautiful and serene airport in the world, Qatar Airways rightfully deserves worlds best airline, and Singapore deserves worlds best airport. (Trust me, I'm not being bias).
What about my home airline, qantas? They sponsor the Australian rugby, cricket and probably more idk about but that’s just in Australia so kinda gets forgotten about
Qatar and Abu Dhabi is basically oil but the UAE especially Dubai doesn't rely on oil. Dubai's oil was over long back. It is only relying on tourism, business etc. All these airlines are 100% state owned so they get extra support. Abu Dhabi is a nice place that doesn't get as much recognition, it is the city or emirate that has over 90billion barrels of oil left. However it is also successfully moving away from oil.

Well during our 2023 football school tournament one of the sections had a jersey that wrote "Emirates Fly Better" Yea... and another sections jersey which had "Etihad Airways" except no Qatar... i think. Yea even schools get advertised by these 3 airlines
Bruv just said Abu Dhabi has nothing, sure it ain't as lavish as Dubai, but it has ferrari world and literally one of the best formula 1 race tracks. And legit most UFC fights happen there only...
As a person that lives in dubai, oil was found in 1958 which is 64 years ago when the Brit’s was still in the uae (they got independent in 2cd December street near bur dubai 52 years ago,). Fun fact: did you know PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) helped Emirates airlines in 1985 where PIA gave Emirates Airlines some planes (They were a B737-300. And A300B4-200)
I know I’m commenting this like over a year since this video was uploaded 💀 but I can confirm as a Brit that we do indeed like getting drunk and swallowing microphones
