Airlink YS-11 Takeoff @ Lubang (RPLU) 

Love it! I flew on several YS-11's as boy when my father worked for Piedmont. Sweet! I'd love to buy one and keep it at a museum somewhere.

Same here Dan. I used to sit on a bald hilltop and watch the Piedmont YS 11s on approach to AVL. I'll remember that sound till the day I die.

The airframe of the YS11 is based on that of the Dakota c47 , only fitted with 2 Rolls Royce Dart turbo prop engines , Extremely reliable,

Those engines are known for the reputation that they sound like an wasp in mid air
