The funniest part is that dragapult from Pokémon could technically be considered an airplane dragon because it’s based on a stealth bomber (an aircraft)
Isn't Garchomp based on a jet as well or am I thinking of a completely different Pokemon? It has been years since I played a single Pokemon game so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
@@Star-Burner The Gible line are more known to be land sharks. However, they all have jet engines on their design and Garchomp mostly fly in most recent pokemons games.
For those who don’t know, I’m actually a aeromorph feline airplane name Acid who happens to be based off of a McDonnell Douglas MD-11. You might’ve heard of me in the past but I really do enjoy this topic alot! Even though I’m an airplane and not a dragon I still think airplane dragons are unique and cute and sometimes hot if you add muscles. Lol anyways you don’t need to be a aviation or plane enthusiast to become an airplane drag, you can just do it for fun! I am getting a Fursuit of my feline plane acid in the future but stuff like that is quite expensive!
I am planing for a Aerodragon 787, i just switch sides (cause i saw how fun fursuiting was) and i thought “hmm, i like planes and i want to be in the fandom so i just atach some engines on a dragon and voila” (never knew there was a aerodragon). So here i am now, in the stage of first drawing my imagination.
Not a furry, but this somehow popped in my recommended while I working on a painting and just figured I'd give a watch. I actuallt remember seeing these cute lil critters when it started and I always thought they were so cute! They remind me of an anime too: 'Dragon Pilot.' 2018 It's about a special unit in the airforce that pilots, well, dragons. These dragons have the ability to disguise themselves as military planes and telepathically communicate with their respective pilot. The art style is very cute, and has a neat story, but it definitely has its flaws. As anime often does it does seem to occasionally have that awkward unnecessary fanservice that feels borderline misogynistic. Even going to the point that explaining that only women are able to bond with the dragons, but the second a pilot falls in love, the dragon rejects them.... those that have seen it probably understand. There's other odd bits here and there, but overall it is a cute anime that has a sweet message about camaraderie and some adorable airplane dragons. Despite its flaws its one that I recommend.
The only reason I love this species is because I like Airplanes and Dragons and one day when I found the video of yours that you uploaded a while ago about these things, I fell in love. This is my favorite Furry Species and will always be forever!
I love planes!! And I love this species a bunch too! I made a few plane creatures before I knew these guys existed, But now that I do, I’m so happy that someone else out there thought the same as me! Awesome video! ^_^ 💕🧡
This is great and wholesome! Which makes me feel a little bad that half way through the video as I was thinking "what would I want as an aerodragon fursona" an intrusive thought went "Apache Attack Helicopter". Welp, I guess it is time for me to decide whether or not Gruce, the helicopter dragon, defender of freedom, becomes realized as a whole character.
I give the kid credit. I remember back in 2016 seeing a whole bunch of part of these characters popping up. I was like adorable until people may not say for work stuff of it and then I was like. Well there goes the innocence of that new species lol 😂
@@mizu_the_floatzel this is very mild for me lol. i've done wayyyyyyyy worse. like making the male version of the vaporeon copy pasta. but hey, it's all just scientifically accurate educational material uwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwu
Ok I'm a huge fighter jet fan so learning this was a thing I'm in love with airplane dragons, also next species you should do is wickerbeast if you don't already I haven't checked in a while
Oh my God I love this! This opens so many possibilities for me to expand the world and making (and also imagine what it would be like having one of these as a pet)
omg, this is PERFECT for an idea to keep my late dad's memory alive! Totally gonna see about coming up with something (doubt there's a base ref somewhere though)!
I might create a variant of my sona that's an airplane dragon for the hell of it. Aircraft have been a huge part of my life. From the F4U-4 to the 737, they all hold a place in my heart
Eh, my character, A F-104C starfighter, self modified to hold a german based 104G engine. Basically a very slightly retrofitted F-104C starfighter that can regenerate fuel and ammo... fuel is very hard and takes a lot of work to reproduce though, and isn't very efficient about a 3rd of the energy normal fuel has. Either way, my starfighter character I do is a AI built with the power 2 times that of a F-35 in 2023 and can hold more then a 1K terabytes in memory, take the significantly more advanced take of the fnaf franchise and a starfighter and boom. You got my character in a nutshell
There is another thing like this happening. Instead of airplanes, it's with trains instead. It started this year on June 21st by a Tumblr user butch-dragongirl made a post saying "i think we should start turning trains into furry dragons like we did with airplanes", and posted an example using an EMD SD40-2 with RCPE blue and yellow livery.
And I know a FlakPanzer VII with 4 GAU-19/As and 2 AGM-114 Launchers, also 4 goalkeeper CIWS stations pulled behind him, We call him, the King of Flakpanzers or the Aerial Exclusion Zone. (Notice: it is translated from German due to being apart of the Überpanzer Project & Königpanzer Project)
Oh yeah, that's a thing. I actually can't remember _any_ time where I accidentally stumbled upon an airplane dragon picture (not counting like, that one video about weird DeviantArt/art in general things I saw once).
This reminds me of some small, aerial ecosystem I came up with once revolving around these sentient “planes”. They DO flap their wings, but can glide across almost the entire planet without needing to flap more than twice. There are large flocks of the rather small females lead by a huge, dominant male, as well as solitary carnivores that catch their prey midair, which they then eat whole- as they don’t have as advanced landing gear (legs) as their prey, and also can’t waste time eating due to the presence of even larger predators. Reply for more info!
I love designing new characters but I always face a problem with open species like this where there's too many options. I don't know how to design a character because THERES TOO MANY THINGS I COULD DO AAAA
Airplane dragon?.. it sounds cool. Furry cyborg so to speak, ehe~♪ Airgons and Furborgs...I like it. This gave me an idea... guess I'll make another fursona! ∆ ∆ (OwU) ~- | | -~ √ L
Hear me out, plane sharks. Not only deadly in water, also deadly in air. They use water tanks to live above ground, kinda like a fish bowl on their head or something. Just a silly idea!
I know this may not count, but my fursona is based off of something you’d find in the ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ franchise. So if it counts, then I’ll be happy.
I think the note about no offensive symbols was important for the creator to highlight, as the potential for N*zis to create a Messerschmidt or Focker sona is too high haha
