Typically you would set the pressure regulator for your planned (or assigned) altitude plus 500 feet. True ... some people set the regulator for an abstract altitude and simply never touch it, but that's not its intended use.
Congrats Jason! Good things.come to good people. I'll be watching with interest the pressurized benefits and ops. I currently have a non pressurized family hauler. So next step interest here.
210 DreamCatcher! That’s what I’d call it! Cuz it would be my dream come true if I had a 210 like this for a year! It’s my all time favorite Cessna for sure. I think it’s the landing gear first but also the extra power that puts it at the top of my list. Congratulations 🎉🎈🍾
Congratulations. Sort of the benefits without some of the drawbacks of ownership. And being able to get above weather to some extent opens up your horizons.
Nice plane. 😍 A couple of years ago the shop I deal with showed me around a P210 they were working on (wing spar inspection). Even nicer to see one up close...
That's a great plane to 'babysit', Jason. Congratulations, sir. :) I think "Hotel Romeo" is a great name for it, even more so if you use it for date night. Great video, can't wait to see where this P210 takes you.
I love the teaser takeoff at the end, thanks for that. I look forward to seeing the adventures! Have fun with the name, too, something like yours or your wife's grandmother's middle name. Thelma or Helen or something old school. Have a great 4th!
Chains for tie-downs? There was at least one (if not more) loss of aircraft in Alaska due to that, and perhaps a SAIB or AC issued. The aircraft would bang against the chain during wind events and damage the spars. My Cub has an STC spar strap for tying down to avoid just that problem. Ropes have a bit of give, of course, but you have to replace them now and then.
Hilariously, I took my kids to camp by a GA, dropping off and picking up in Fresno on the same days as you. Though with my airplane in the shop on the pickup day, I had to drive and wishing that I wasn’t for the entirety of both directions.
Congrats Jason!!! What a great opportunity! Looking forward to future video's. You know... "Hotel Romeo" does have a catchy name to it, its in the identity. Its meant to be.😂 Have a great 4th of July!
Is it a 210N? That s dope. Luck you. It does not have any anti ice/de-icing capa aliyirs though? Except the de icing prop probably. Have great fun with it!
I was in a partnership with somebody for one of these. When everything ran well it was great. Perfect for trips into KEGE because it also had TKS. But…….only ran without problems a small percentage of the time. All kinds of engine and landing gear problems in particular. Enjoy the year flying it and be happy you don’t own it. Maintenance nightmare!
