THX panda is good, but still not "audiophile", or whatever the standard means....I would consider HD 600/650/660 an actual audiophile headphone (I mean what exactly is an audiophile headphone lol, its just something that sounds good...I mean we dont have a scientific way to say what is audiophile or not, its just a labeling term) . I also own Max, Pandas, and HD600/650/660. When I am at home I always use the Sennheisers vs wireless headphones .Another place where the Max, and the Pandas fail for me is movies, and gaming - The delay....the delay is awful! Great video as usual!
They are very expensive but u have to consider all other factors into price. Like how well it connects to other apple products in the ecosystem, Simple setup, etc...

Did you try eq the airpods Max? It's in the accessibility settings then go to audio visual and you will have more options. Also if you're using Apple music you can go to the apple music in your settings to turn on always on Dolby support as well as more eq options. After the eq it made them sound better.
I really don't care much about these two pair of headphones because I am already super happy with my XM3s (You are the culprit for making me buy those). Don't forget that the Audeze Mobius sounds noticeably clearer with better timbre and detail retrieval than the Drop Panda for hundreds less. Audeze is an extremely highly respected audiophile company. The Hifiman Ananda BT costs similar to the Airpods Max but is LDAC 990 and AptxHD

No, they have Stereo Sound. They just sound flat in an unusual way for movies. You know how dynamic things sound in a movie theatre? With loud sounds and bass and all? Well the Pandas don’t sound dynamic like that. They sound flat…. Like the life of the movie was drained out of the sound (not too dramatically tho lol). Hope this makes sense haha
@@valeriograssi1996 I have both in my house, Sony have more bass, Airpods max does instrument separation better and slightly cleaner. Sony sound signature is more to powerful, while airpods is more to natural and clean sound. But they both sound excellent enough. Noise Cancelling I tried hearing my aircond sound, slightly more silent on Airpods max, but it's noticable. Probably because the harder clamping force on airpods max helps. Transparency Mode and Ambient Mode NO competition, Airpods sounds much natural, and it actually makes some voice clearer like water droplet sounds is more noticeable after I put them on. Ambient Mode doesn't let as much sound comes in as the airpods max. Weight and comfort Sony is much lighter, and dimensions are smaller than airpods max, they also don't have strong clamping force like the airpods max, Sony is more comfortable. Build quality is much better on the Airpods max, you have to hold them both to feel the tremendous difference. SONY is plastic build and adjustment is very loose, like when turning the cans, Airpods just feels way sturdier and solid, even when adjusting angles Accesories Sony comes with 3.5mm jack cable on both side and an actual carrying case. Sony wins But the airpods max have more accesories available online, such as earcups and carbon fibre covers, Sony can't have those because they will cover the touch controls on the cans. Charging 3 hours fully charge for Sony for up to 30 hours 2 hours fully charge for Airpods max for up to 20 hours Buttons and controls Sony use touch control and airpods use digital crown. The crown adjust volume much faster and easier than Sony. The Sony have a power button to completely switch off the earphone. They are both good wireless anc 🎧 For the price difference I personally can think of few points 50$ for much better build quality 50$ for better transparency and noice cancelling 50$ for features such as very immersive Spatial Audio and seemless pairing with apple devices. 50$ for sound quality difference. (9 out of 10 youtubers ald agreed that airpods max just sound better and have better sound stage. The airpod max will also automatically update its software from your apple devices. Sony has an app for customising eqs. Both are excellent pair of headphones that will not dissapoint you If you are on a budget get the xm4, it is ald a quite complete package. If you want solid build, much better transparency Mode, more customizable after market accesories and cool features like Spatial audio and have spare cash the airpods max will not dissapoint.
