AirPods Pro sounds airy and hollow. AirPods Pro 2 sounds fuller and the bass is very audible but not too excessive. And soundstage seems to be a lot wider than the first gens. This shorts is a great one. 👏

AirPods Pro 2 seem to have a significant improvement given the new H2 chip. Adaptive Transparency mode seems to be a game changer for those who bought a pair.

if you had the gen 1 pros and planning to get the gen 2 consider first your expectations for gen 2 while gen 2 is great, its not vastly improved over the gen 1 so you might want to stick with gen 1 for a little bit and wait for gen 3, but if you do want to upgrade then do so.

as an owner of airpods pro 2 they sound a bit too brighter to me that sometimes on high volumes sting in my ear you got it what i meant to say !! all and all a great pair of anc tws earphones !! definately worth buying !

Have just listened to a proper comparison by a sound engineer on RU-vid. The 2nd gen are better. This short comparison makes both models sound awful … no bass from either and I’m listening on good over ear headphones.

Both of those recordings sound tinny. I am using the AirPods Pro 2 as we speak and they have a lot more bass than that recording would lead you to believe.

This does not do it Justice at ALL, i have both and can confirm that the airpods pro 2 have a fuller, crisper sound with better bass, highs, lows, mids. There’s virtually no difference in this comparison

Ridiculous; I'm surprised you haven't been called on this comparo and actually have been praised. Where's the bass on either??? Sounds like there is no coupling between the earphones and the microphones. This sounds nothing like what you would hear. That, plus the spl is very different between the two, compounding the invalidity.

Yeah I used the AirPods 1st gen for about 2 weeks. Was very disappointed. I actually returned them. Then I switched to the second generation thinking maybe they nailed it this time. Honestly maybe they could still use a little improvement because I like a lot of base. I wish they would get a deeper fuller sound. But you can’t beat all the apple specific features.

I’m curious if anyone has tried both because I’m really wanting to get the pro 2 but I have expensive earbuds. I currently have the Bose qc and I love them, the sound quality is insane and the bass is great, noise canceling with the three settings is so good I can just have them in on full noise cancel and not hear anything. I’m wondering if the pro 2 would be as good or better as my earbuds were the same if not a bit more expensive at the time. Thank you to whoever helps

They do not sound that crappy. Your measuring equipment is horribly calibrated or not suited to test the audio quality of such products.

Though the microphone in those ears, though youtube compression, and then the speaker playing this audio for me. There is no way to determine any meaningful audio quality difference between the two in this video

I used the AirPods Pro 1st Gen and now I have the 2nd gen. They are A LOT better

AirPods Pro 2 sounds a bit airy and has wider soundstage. The bass is a bit lacking but better clarity. AirPods Pro has more narrow soundstage but more bass kick (still has longer decay rather than the AirPods Pro 2). At least that's how I hear it

Upgraded from the AirPod 3rd gen to the AirPod Pro 2nd gen and the biggest difference sound wise is the bass being way more powerful.
