Born & raised my home town it’s very calm in Modesto I feel safe when I’m there it ain’t dangerous like other cities like Oakland & Richmond & San Francisco that’s why I love Modesto it’s very safe the streets never look like a trash dump it’s always look beautiful 👏
I grew up in the Airport District in the 60/70's. We were a mixed bunch, a few Native fams like mine, mostly white and several Mexican fams as well. We were first and foremost "Airporters". The first day of school at La Loma jr. High, we went as a group including the one Puerto Rican family from the hood because we were aware of the tradition of the new 8th graders harassing us new 7th graders. NO ONE bothered us. We all knew Stockton was MUCH worse.

My aunt owned a home on Trask. We use to live at Yosemite lanes when I was a kid. Late 80's an 90's. It was fun an scary. Great times with all the homies
Airport is not Mexican, it's Mexican and Okie. You want Mexican go to Crowslading Road, you want black go to westside. I see you drove down Scenic drive for a bit. What a waste of time. The worst street to see in Modesto is Sutter of Paradise. The houses are boarded up with druggies living in the them and they've been that way for way to long. You see people who are drug addicts get sent to the Central Valley by people from the Bay Area telling them that they'll find new lives here in this already drug infested area.
Grew up here in the 60's and 70's, and I look at it now and remember a lot of sites, like the church on Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Market and such. Lived over on Benson Ave then. Can't believe how much it's changed but still recognize that it's pretty much stayed the same all this time.
My opinion is Oakland & Richmond & S.F. is worser then Stockton & Fresno Richmond has more murder rates then Stockton & Fresno i from Stockton is very safe out there im born & raised there mommy family lives in Fresno i been there a lot is very safe you can’t compare it to San Francisco Oakland & Richmond the streets look ghetto it’s alway homeless everywhere in Richmond is very dangerous buts that just my opinion

Both places Crack hard. Stockton more recently got recognized because their mayor was a crook and bankrupt the city. Modesto where i grew up was all Asian and Hispanic. Over by Coleman brown
It’s mostly Hispanic but everything else is even numbers to me , I live in airport , Stockton is probably the most active in Cali at this point and it’s like 30 mins from Modesto
Literally can walk down the streets rn can’t wait to move out of here I don’t live in the hood tho I live in the start of the country side of Modesto live in a country house but the only schools I can go to near me are in the hood
I lived in modesto for a littlw bit, and I don't get why people there try so hard to be gangster. It's pretty ridiculous. Go to Chicago, Los Angeles , NY, or any major city where ahit really goes down on a daily basis and you'll realize that modesto is nice country town. It's like they try so hard to he hood, and all the goofballs that were raised there eat it up cause they have nothing else to compare it too. Lmao it's actually comedy. Yall modesto goofball need to embrace your town ND make it nice. Stop trying to be gang.
