A 29-year-old ground employee halts busy airport in Seattle after taking off in a stolen turbo-prop plane, doing loops and rolls before crashing and dying.
He was literally flying over a heavy populated area doing stunts. They had no idea what his intentions were. It’s sad he ended his life the way he did but at lest he didn’t hurt anyone doing it.
@@mattmorganflash tbh some of what you have to say is fair... i get it.... idk if id go as far as saying 'heavily' populated... but anyway what I'm really getting at is that his intentions weren't malicious by any means. some of his last words were apologies for what he had done, knowing that there was no way he could ever go back. this guy snapped, took the plane, realised what he'd done and knew there was no way out without causing harm.... if it were me? in all honesty i would've tried to land it, with no regard for the people I could harm in the process. this guy couldn't bare the thought of it happening... he was broken, but in the most beautiful way. this wasn't your average hijacking. this was a true tragedy imo.
get nae nae'd yeah but we was flying all over the Seattle metro before he crashed on the remote island. People who lived on the island said he crashed about 2 miles from them.
You sound like an IDIOT! Whether he had these intentions or not by dephalt he put a lot of lives at risk. He's not trained therefore ANYTHING could have gone much worse & he could gave killed others.
Garo Barsemian ah so identify those exact lives that were at risk. If you get in your car, are all the lives in a 500 mile radius all at risk too? We’re stretching a bit aren’t we? The guy flew over ocean, then an empty island, crashed and killed trees. Those were the facts.
That’s not just why he did it. Just cuz of his job. If it was rly that bad he’d quit. He just didn’t want to continue and was done with life. He wanted some fun bc he knew he was gonna die. RIP💜
He could have saved a little and gone to a flight school and enjoyed it in a cessna and actually build himself back up instead of shutting everyone out and stealing property that wasn’t his in a selfish narcissistic stunt. I feel for him but it also angers me greatly.
@@fugf1623 every pilot? Ok random internet guy that thinks he knows everything lol. Even trained professionals wouldn’t dare to try those maneuvers at that height in a plane that shouldn’t have even been able to do them and he pulled them off
@@Luke-kc9li lol every trained pilot can do that but they won’t because they don’t need to. Why would they even try to do that ?? They have absolutely no reason to do it the first place so yes sure they are not going to pull it, it don’t mean they don’t have the skills to do it
@@Luke-kc9li "Even trained professionals wouldn’t dare to try those maneuvers" Obviously trained professionals value their lifes.... honestly I dont know what is going on inside your head
@@valentinoserrano393 he could have crashed the plane on any target he wanted after taking off. Hes he did something terrible but did not hurt any other people. Maybe your connected with the airline coz im sure they lost millions of $$$
Just because he didn't purposely crash it, doesn't mean he wasn't putting ppl at risk. He was flying over neighborhoods. Could have easily crashed since he's not a pilot. That's like a kid stealing a car and saying nobody was at risk because he didn't purposely want to crash lol
I mean he did steal a companys extremely expensive plane and crash incinerated it. But at least he took his own life without taking anybody with him (some pilots arent as kind) so for that i give him respect.
Stop making him put to be a legend, not a criminal, but certainly not brave or heroic. Cost billions of dollars for repair, delay for hundreds of people, and possibly other people’s lives, even if he didn’t mean to hurt anyone, he still could’ve hurt someone because he doesn’t know how to fly a plane. Imagine giving a toddler a car, the toddler wouldn’t have any intention to hurt anyone, but probably would anyways. Don’t come at me with “deserted island” because to get to that deserted island, he would have to take off and fly over land, which could’ve easily resulted in many accidents.
He obviously didn’t want to hurt anybody, that why he crashed it on a small island. Very very small chance of people and the fire has nowhere to spread
No he didn’t want to hurt anyone. I watched a video on the conversation between him and someone else on the microphone thing and he kept saying how he didn’t want to hurt anybody
Credit to @Nachito for making this comment, interpolated with a Delta pilot's own words: "**He indeed put lives in danger.** Copying someone else's comment from above, 'You all are so wrong. I’m a pilot myself, and I fly for Delta. Anytime there is an aircraft operating on its own accord near such a large airport, it creates chaos. There were multiple opportunities where he could’ve collided with other traffic, which would’ve killed hundreds. If you’re going 200-250 mph, you will not be able to see and avoid that traffic. He also is not a certified pilot, and even though he probably flew sims, he obviously didn’t know wtf he was doing (his brakes were smoking on takeoff, so he was either applying them or the parking brake was left on). This could’ve resulted in a major loss of life if he had lost control of the aircraft. Anyways, yea he put a population about 100,000 different people at a risk of dying that day. We’re just lucky he was the only casualty.' A single mistake can end in a tragedy, planes are not that simple, and not being an specialist makes it more probably to commit a mistake that can have huge results. Luckily for him and us, nothing happened, but the high risk was there."
@@forrestabe6426 he obviously didnt target anyone / any populated place. you're the fucking idiot, and very uninformed about mental health. his goal wasnt to crash into a neighborhood full of people. he crashed into a wooded island on purpose. there was 0 lives at risk during his suicide.
@@RickySpanish168 He doesn't need to target anyone to be a threat. How hard is it to understand the simple fact that someone who isn't trained as a pilot can make a big mistake at any point which causes the plane to crash. Him flying over neighborhoods and doing crazy maneuvers in the sky are already a big risk.
The man wasn't a terrorist at all. He just didn't want to live anymore. A terrorist would have killed others too without any regard for their life. This man just wanted to end his, not anyone elses. Respect.
Sure he's not a terrorist, and he didn't have ill intentions for others, but the risk he put thousands in is inexcusable. No respect from me. On the other hand, if he had killed himself in a safer way regarding his surroundings, then I would feel for this guy.

zSib - The guy did flips and barrel rolls, the plane isn’t some huge Boeing 747. It would be ridiculous to kill thousands of people in the middle of Alaska. Even if it were to crash into a neighborhood, the maximum fatalities would not reach over 50.

you can't get your general aviation license on antidepressants. i can almost guarantee that was an active role in his depression because i can relate. i'm glad he was able to fly once.
Turns out he wasn't suicidial. According to MSNBC, investigators found out he was trying to do an unlimited money glitch but got gunned down by the tryhard in the Hydra

That’s not the point. They were trying to say that if this man could gain access to a plane then other people may be able to as well and those other people may not have the same intentions as this man.

Wubber Wrestlers He ended up crashing into an isolated island, killing or hurting no one. And no, suicide and murder are completely distinct acts by definition. Way to twist the radio transcripts to fit an agenda, making him sound like a maniac after he was told to not hurt anyone on landing. He constantly said he didn't want to hurt anyone. The whole story is really sad really, guy was just struggling with life and couldn't take it anymore.

Lives at risk? First thing the guy did was get out of busy areas, did his barrel roll over water to avoid any casualities in case of crash, and made the effort to go crash in woods. You call that putting lives at risk? Driving a car in a city puts more lives at risk than this guy ever did by hijacking this plane.
