I remember when few years ago Adhaar data was found online and the minister said that it is totally safe and secure behind a thick wall. He was definitely not aware firewall is not an actual wall.
To be honest, being a Career IT and Cybersecurity professional, Data Protection Laws suck in India. Although after the creation of DSCI and the introduction of the DPDPB2022, the situation seems to improve but still India has to go a very very long way when compared to HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, etc.
