Tokyo International Airport Haneda…
…was the very first Airport to make a lasting impression
on me as a young boy.
My family had just completed a long flight on
a Pan Am 707 from Honolulu and the observation
deck blew me away! I was addicted to jet action!
Today, with no available Time Machine..and those memories
locked in my mind forever, the best thing I can do
today is to share them with others ..is to string some interesting clips
together and ‘Voila!’ here we have as close as we can
be to show what myself and many others having the experience
to land us where we are today, in love with everything jets!
I had only three flights into Haneda but I was now hooked
on jet fumes! As I grew older and now living in Taipei
Taiwan I was able ride the local bus to Taipei’s Sungshan
Airport - and they had a great observation deck (new one not so good)
and I was there nearly every single weekend to the point I had to buy a camera
and start snapping photos of commercial jets.
Most memorable at Tokyo Haneda was the huge operations
of Pan Am! And today there is so few video recordings of
Pan Am showing what I remember, now here we can see
what it was like. I am sure I was not the only young person
to experience this therefore I have taken on this project to
share with those went through the same exposure.
Tokyo Haneda was opened in 1939 as Tokyo primary
gateway until 1978 when New Tokyo International Airport
at Narita was opened. That lasted just over 20 years,
for Haneda to re-enter into the International travel grid
and we can see today what has become via the 1000s
of videos online today!
Enjoy Everyone!!!
