Hey Martin just got my first Pilot-Rc NG 78” must say best flying model I ever had.. but I’m far from a pro not that I want to be, watching your flying is truly amazing and if I could do some of that I would be so happy Anyways Could I ask you would you be able to demonstrate some of these manoeuvres in sections with a camera looking at your sticks.. I find you very knowledgeable and I understand you as in your very clear as I watched your slick uploads of building that model you always show in great detail of what your doing or how to do it I would find this very interesting and knowledgeable thank you and keep the content coming

@Mikes RC Garage I saw him fly In November and after that I’m surprised he doesn’t put a tail in the ground after every flight! He got crazy low. Considering how much and how good he flys stuff like this will eventually happen.

Thanks Scott! The foamies are sold by Gonzo Hobbies in UAE, fly great and super cheap, only problem shipping costs as they come mostly already assembled...

I think RC models have changed since my first models in 1980.... 😱 With the jets.... But i think, MP is the best in acrobatics with great planes, (what i prefer) he is an E.T. with a rc command. (Excuse my english, i am frenchy)✌️

There were some spectacularly great pilots there...you included. Great footage and I enjoyed it very much. I have to say one thing though...and I'm not trying to be a buzz kill, but I saw several LOW knife edge circles where the pilot fly's right at and then passes themselves...you included. Is the trill worth that??? Its to the point of carelessly dangerous. If something goes wrong or one of you makes a mistake at the wrong time... at the size and speed of these things (especially the jet) it will more than likely kill the pilot. Its thrilling to watch, but really unsafe and somewhat irresponsible in my opinion. For what its worth...you guys are damn thrilling without that maneuver.

Thanks! You are right with very much of what you mention about the knife edge, only saving grace is that the model is usually quite a bit further away than it may look in some of the video, and usually it is straight quite a long way before it reaches the pilot. Could something go wrong, of course, but so could it at any point, even driving to the field...

I think any spectacle like this will naturally include some danger and the pilots skill in controlling and commanding that danger is the very element of spectacle.. which is why your flying is so damn impressive Martin!! can someone please tell me how the control surfaces work on a jet thats prop hanging? as when they have them just stopped in front of them there is no air flow over the surface 😳

A-MAZE-IN i did look 👀 but couldn’t really see it moving, but you can see all the control surfaces moving. but yes it would explain it 😬

@@davecrowder2891 they are probably linked to the same control inputs on the Remote control. so when you pull up both the enginenosle and the alivator move, same with the other rudders

Yep, A-maze-in and Dave got it right. Vector on the turbine controls the model, and vector is on the same sticks as elevator and rudder on the radio, so you will see those moving too, even though they dont actually do anything in that stalled position due to no propwash or air speed..

Hello! I have a (silly?) site-specific question: Does all of the wind-blown sand on the runway cause any problems for the jet turbines? A propeller/piston engine combination tends to blow the stuff out of the way, but a jet sucks in an incredible volume of air... so is wear an issue? Or is it a case of, "Aw, who care$ - we're £oaded! We'll ju$t buy another one..." ;-)

The sand on the ground is not really an issue as the turbine is high enough not to literally suck it up unless the nose wheel is terribly positioned... The sand in the air is an issue and most of the guys have to send the turbines back for service at the end of each season as the compressors get sand blasted... But even then, the biggest issue is just the heat, so they dont fly in peak heat which is most of the year or if they do, they do it in the night!

Things we take for granted must just be a nightmare for Dubai.. Like just to build this airstrip and bit of grass, Have to put down a foundation because you cant set asphalt on sand, same for the grass, not gunna grow in sand.. Where does the soil come from ? Big trucks importing it..

Time for some hate replies directed at me I guess... there's nothing more UN exciting and boring that the planes hovering vertically. I much prefer to watch planes fly. See, whilst in a hover, the plane is in a full-on stall condition. Guess I'll have to keep hoping the engine flames out while hovering at 5' AGL. He's not gonna glide back to terra fima then. It's too bad - these are some shocking cool planes and the guys flying them seriously talented

Nothing wrong with an opinion. Hovering planes became too easy and is now boring, agreed. Hovering with jets is still quite new and not all that common, so still usually attracts a crowd.

@@MartinPickering-PickeringRC Yeah, I bet they do. Check this out - even tho I'm quite opinionated on planes hovering.. when I saw the jets doing it.. I was quite impressed and thought 'oh man, those are mean looking doing that..'. lol. So even I'm not immune. Must be really exciting for many people, which is awesome
