Its still a good idea to practice safety with them. While you are absolutly correct that with proper protection an airsoft gun is not dangerous (assuming its following FPS limits etc) its just a good habit to be in.

That looks like some real fun good way to replace real handguns that we can not own here in the uk

look for ipsc gear or uspsa stuff. Mostly all uspsa or ipsc shooters use that style belt, mag clips, and holster.

It doesn't matter. When you handle any gun you should treat it like a real firearm so you don't form any bad habits. Also an airsoft gun can still cause you to go blind. He is not a bitch he is just being smart.

Ever seen shot-out teeth? Just because its airsoft doenst mean its 100% safe even with the use of safety glasses. Plus, an unexpected hit is just painful and therefore it should be prevented.
