One thought still bothers me... How can we know the real signal level if the antenna used is active? Shouldn't be used a 20 cm ferrite loopstick antenna like those ones listed by eBay user playlodfm?
It is a good practical tip to keep the maximum signal level not more than -10 to -15 dBfs, in order to not overload the receiver input stages and analog-to-digital converter (ADC)
