Great comparison! SmartSuite looks to be the up and coming. AirTable focus is specifically towards larger organizations at this time and going forward.
Great video!, right on time! Quick question. I'm in the beginnings of starting an automation agency helping small businesses (1-5 office employees) automate workflows, streamline documents and build chatbots. In 2023, which platform should invest my time into? Thanks!
Dan, you are a man with much knowledge. Will Air or Smart ever create a field that collects phone's location when creating a record? For example, you go on a trip, and you create new entries in DB....... months later, you can't remember the name of the point of interest ...but you do remember the location ....... you can go to Mapview and see the different records pinned to the map. This would be such an impactful field. There must be a reason why neither platform has such a feature
That would be great! Have you looked into Glide at all? They seem to invest the most into mobile functionality out of the "internal tools" builders. GPS, camera, audio recording, barcode scanning to name a few
@@danleeman see… This is why I’m glad I posted… No, I’m not familiar with glide. I will look into it. And maybe that’s the reason (not focusing on mobile) I know that is with smart they are just mainly focus on their desktop application right now… The phone app is a back burner issue.. you may know this, but Evernote used to have this feature, like eight years ago, it was called Atlas and it was fantastic. When I travel to different cities couldn’t remember the peoples name or topic/purpose of meeting. I could just search in map view for pinned notes. Evernote said they got rid of it because it wasn’t cost-effective. I guess Licensing the maps for the app is costly. But both Airtable and smart have a map view so that cost is already sunk. Anyhow, next time you have their ear, please drop the suggestion.
