You are officially one of my favorite channels. Im a 3D artist and I hate rigging. I love that you’re into 3D artistry because you have a deeper appreciation for what these guys did with Arcane. I try to explain how incredible this show is on a technical level but that can’t fully grasp it because they don’t understand the nuances involved
The song "Get Jinxed" is playing in episode 4 when she is tinkering and Silco comes in angry after the attack on the town square. A little hidden gem, the kind of 'if you know, you know' moment.
.. and this leads to brainteaser. Is she listening to a song about her that exists in Runeterra (if so, who wrote/performed/recorded it?), or is it just in Jinx's head?
"The animation [for Get Jinxed] actually looks very similar!" That's because it was done by Fortiche, just like Arcane. iirc, it was actually their first collaboration.
LFG!!! So glad you decided to pull the trigger and react to this. It's a tough call for reactors to put BTS and supplemental content on their channels - there's always a question of whether those videos will do well (and usually they don't). But as you now know, Arcane is just built different on every level. Following into Bridging the Rift after reacting to the show is a reactor rite of passage, and us insane people still looking to get our daily Arcane fix out of RU-vid 3 years later have come to love watching people take that journey - to the point that if a reactor just stops at ep 9 and moves on to the next reaction series, it's seriously disappointing. So here's to Bridging the Rift and whatever else comes as we bridge the gap 'til November! And speaking of that, if S2 follows the S1 promo drip, we can expect trailers (already started), a music video, and finally some kind of Arcane tie-in to the League of Legends World Championships at the end of October. I wouldn't be surprised if they repeat that strategy in the next few months.
I think that it is true that Arcane's animation looks very French/European. I am not sure why, but it reminds me of the French animated shows that I watched as a child. I am not an expert so I haven't analyzed it, but there is something, just like when you watch an anime in another style, or an animation made in the style of anime, and compare it to an anime and the three feel very different.
I was hooked with just seeing the first scene of this show, it is so beautiful, when I saw episode 3 for the first time I remember having my mouth open in aww, I wasn't sure if I wanted to cry for what was happening in the story or just because the amount of detail in the expression of the characters, specialy Powder at the end, I felt like watching a real child crying for help, I turned to my brother who was the one that told me to watch the show and asked him "they used motion capture for some scenes right? 😦" because if not it would be crazy, I searched in google and no, they didn't use motion capture in any scene, I just went 🤯. Animation for me has been always the perfect form to tell stories specialy if it is fantasy, I studied animation but being honest I have never worked in anything related to it, I dont know if I will, but animation is always going to be very special for me, a beautiful art form and Arcane is a perfect example of what visual storytelling can be, incredibly well written, animated, incredible use of color theory and much more. It has always been so sad that a lot of people disregard animation because they think it is something for "children shows" and it is difficult to explain the amount of work and effort put in each second for someone that doesn't know how the behind the scenes work, how everyone working has to be on the same page of what they want to tell and how for all of this to work, an immense amount of talent, teamwork and effort to create something beautiful like this masterpiece of visual storytelling. Its so great watching someone react to this behind the scenes videos that knows about how animation works and gets so excited to know about the process ❤
I loved your reaction to this series. To be honest I never watched Briding the Rift after I finished Arcane. I only watched it when I saw reactors watching it after they watched arcane and i watched along with them. And what you're saying you loved about ep 1 resonates with me as well. You need so much tenacity, luck, skill, stamina and patience to make your creative dreams come true and Christian is really inspiring. Also I'm not sure what your creative interests are Aisha but it sounds like you like animation and illustration? I'm in my 30s and in the animation and mobile gaming industry and graduated from animation and Arcane was one of hte most inspriing things a lot of my friends and myself included watched in the last few years. Even moreso for me since I played League of Legends. So ya I say that to say I hope we both continue to get inspired to draw and create while watching hte bridging the rift eps!
Just binged Bridging the Rift tonight and now I'm back for the reaction. It is indeed a fantastic series. It's just wild seeing how the creators and Fortiche had never made a long form show before and yet their very first go at it hit harder than Powder's monkey bomb. 💥🐵💥
@@artxroyalty Most definitely! It is a different experience on re-watch, let's just say I not longer root for Powder to go save them with her monkey bomb. 😰 I'm currently on my second full watch through (three more episodes to go), but I've also done countless random access viewing while editing Arcane AMVs and of course, watching reaction channels. 😁
I’m going to start posting my business email (artisticxroyalty@gmail.com) so y’all can send me recommendations! Just in case you don’t have the other social media platforms to reach me
If you're into animation and up for another react series, I recommend "Blue Eye Samurai" if you haven't seen it already. If you like Arcane, you should like Blue Eye Samurai
@@artxroyalty yeah it takes a lot o patience, I usually break it in a lot of steps to do , like joint positioning, ik fk, painting, but yeah sometimes is tiering
"The fact that they made it perfect the first time around"... hee hee. Prepared to be surprised. Interesting watching a reaction to a documentary. It's great seeing all the concept iterations thay went through and tests they had to create to get the project off the ground. IT was a huge undertaking whenever you're ramping up for production.
I am more of a Marvel guy, but Young Justice is still my favorite animated show of all time, with Avatar TLA, Vox Machina, Arcane, and Naruto Shippuden rounding out my top 5. X-men, both the original animated series and it's continuation 97' fighting for that 6th spot!
@@krysisstorm2703 ooooh those are all AMAZING shows! Avatar will always hold my number one and I’ve heard Vox Machina is a show I absolutely need to watch! I still have love for Marvel, but I was raised in a DC household 😂
