for example the jumping sounds of the vocal 1:59 fitting to the more waltzy music, and also the talking at 2:24 where its not only the soft voice from before, but it feels higher pitched like its actually a girl talking and after that the more hard and deeper voice, sounding like it's panicking just like someone in her situation would feel while she does this. i really love those details and seeing these in songs, especially in covers shows how much love is put in them.

When I was a little smaller, I would always listen to the old version. It was so relatable with a childish strange wonder to it, it was so soft and was like a mournful stargaze. Now as I’m getting older and.. as I saw this version come out, it feels so perfectly upgraded with my newer feeling on the issue. It’s so calm at times, but then can ramp up so quickly to an almost rageful scream of pure pain, and I feel like that’s just- how it is for me. I listened to this song for the first time just recently, never coming across any mention to it, and I honestly came to a very different interpretation! Everyone seems to push the "golden child syndrome" interpretation, but I honestly feel like this song is just about "love" in general. Love is always portrayed as this warm feeling, it's supposed to feel good to be overwhelmed with love. And all of our media follows that narrative. By contrast, Aishite portrays love as something overwhelming, a feeling that "chokes you like a necklace", almost like a *parasite*. It shows love as something uncomfortable, almost as if it were malignant. I feel that the song is first and foremost about attention, but the desire for attention is an intrinsic part of love anyways. After all, when we confess to someone, it's because we have the hope that they'll reciprocate those feelings. The necklace doesn't neccesarily need to be the parent's expectations, it can simply represent the general desire to be loved and to have others give you attenton. In a way, Aishite is the PERFECT ANTI-THESIS to a love ballad. I love the song because it really seems to be a scathing critique of the intrinsic obsession and delirium that is an inevitable part of falling in love, instead of romanticizing those feelings like every other song does.
