No matter how many miss world's will come and go..for me she has been and will always be the most beautiful woman in the world. I respect her for what she is and admires her the way she carries herself. I am glad that she still represents India on Global platform. It's actually a talent to be able to switch accents. Plus, it's more accessible to listeners from around the globe. I don't think if someone learns French and tries to sound as close to a native French person that would be considered fake, so why make English exclusive? Some people seem to have a problem with anything even remotely related to her.

You need to watch the whole Miss India event then. There were four rounds( all elimination rounds), and in all the three rounds Aishwarya had higher score than others. Sushmita wasnt even in top 5 earlier, she kept improving round wise. Then at the fourth round both Sushmita and Aishwarya had the same score then only that tie breaking question was asked.
Brut was referring to 'those' times. At the time of miss India contest, Aishwarya was famous and was already believed to be a winner. Sushmita was not known to many at that time. Even Sushmita said that in an interview that after being told Aishwarya is a contestant, she gave up and came back home. It was after her mother's persuasion that she went again for the competition.

Where is the Indian representation. All of them just want to be hangers for foreign attires. They only wear sari for one day as a formality. Where is the Indian weaves, Indian styles, Indian sense of style being represented. All I see is Indian trying to fit in and not having the confidence to be themselves.
