No way I’d go , it’s a bit like an afterthought all the way around , quite literally, as for going with a basically random guy, even if you sort of know them and he calls you two days before the RSPV date , not a good sign at all . Do you know that guy well enough to spend an evening with him , do you like his company , or is he going to dump you at the table to sit all night by yourself and he float around . So a big fat NO from me , difficult situation , but still NO . Afterthought , you’re better than that .
