I'm 17 and grime is pretty much all i listen too, it's a shame grime isn't evolving with the times. But at least we still have people like p money who are still on grime and are still banging out tunes.

You can not like Grime, that's fine, everyone has their opinion but there has been 40/50 years of, to put it frankly, black sounds that have broken down the doors for these man which Grime is a part of. Whether or not it's popular right now is, again, opinion but it should always be shown respect.

I'm a lil older than him but As soon as Drill came around Grime has been dying and nowadays no one really cares for it asides from the older generation. I still think it'll make a comeback in the future but for the moment its kinda irrelevant.
it wasn't just drill that killed grime from the mainstream. Grime was top of the scene in 2016, but the UK is too small, we can't have 10 different scenes like America have. In 2016, you had grime on top, afroswing, drill, and UK hip hop rising underneath it. The moment grime was silent for a moment, they all took over. That's just the nature of having so much music in a relatively small country.
Grimes gone back to the roots. The scene is underground and is pushing for the music rather than for the money as it always should’ve done. Aitch can say no one younger than him cares about grime but it just aint true i know nuff people including myself that do.
Grime always goes through periods of hype then nothing....in 2010 everyone from Tinchy to Roll Deep were on mainstream club music!!! Grime was dead. Then in 2014 it came back around now it's dying again
8:25 I agree with Aitch, im a year younger than him n my year is defo the last ones to care, anyone younger didn't really hear too many of Wileys songs. I think if it would've been with a different grime artist like Chip or Skepta peoples sides would be different.
Wiley deserves respect but he calls people out and dizzee rascal did just as much for grime sold out but in the best way still helps young grime artists too this day he is uks E40

there were so many producers uplifting the sound in 2014-2017 but no one was jumping on their beats. Logos, Mumdance, visionist, dark0, etc etc. Tere's a handful of vocals here and there but MC's preferred to stick to the typical templates. Need more MC's to be willing to spit on those left-fifeld productions
The aitch point actually rings true. Stormzy gets a lot of hate now and you know its because of how popular he's become. Without a doubt, he's Top 2 all time in the UK rap scene, only behind Skepta imo. Hes absolutely smashed it in the UK, stayed true to his yard and stuck to this wave. Personally Daves my favourite but man, Stormzy deserves all ghe respect in the world

australia always had so much potential with grime but nobody came out with projects other than Fraksha. Imagine Shadow, Nerve, Wombat, etc dropping grime projects. They'd ssmash it
Ok with the russ situation what aitch needs to understand is his verse did bang in the tune and is a main element to why it’s so big but he definitely didn’t “make the song” that’s proper bighearted of him and plus he needs to humble himself because I know quite a lot of people didn’t know about his before this feature
