AIWA AD-WX929 double tape recorder. How to video changing the rubber drive belts.
Usually belts required on these vintage 1980's decks - they deteriorate and turn in to a gloopy mess over time.
Also take a quick look at Aiwa's BIAS control system called 'Data System'.

I didn't solder the solenoids. I cut a thin belt and then superglued it end to end. This belt does not affect the sound. Usually the belt never breaks at the gluing site.

Спасибо, поменял ремни. Контакт сначала погнул, потом выровнял, не работало. Позвонил контакт под платой, пропаял, заработало. Ещо под прижимнымроликом щёлкнул пластмасса и ролик прижался. Сейчас работает.

I found a really easy way to remove the Rubber "gloop" is to use "Elbow Grease" Degreaser on a cue tip and follow that with alcohol,

I didn't fancy unsoldering the solenoids to replace the smaller belt you can thread it around the switch contacts using dental hook or similar. It takes a steady hand and lots and lots of patience though.

afaik the speed adjustment are these 2 potentiometers on the board where all these microswitches are.

Quick reverse is more than Auto Reverse. Quick reverse means, the decks can reverse very quick when blank lead tape is detected

I was excited at first to replace my belts on my same deck but then the welder .... I think I will try to replace them and if I broke something I will sent it to trash. Which belts must I buy ?

The solder work is easy if you have an iron, they are large pads. For the belts just search "AIWA AD-WX929 belts" 😊
