It is so strange to see Aizamk playing on low graphics . That is like a wine connoisseur drinking wine from the supermarket

It felt like Aiz was weirdly obsessed with pikes. He sent a card that boosts Caroleans' damage against cav and then made tons of pikes for anticav instead. Then he turned all of his pikes into halbs, which worked well at the time, except then he went IV with the Papal Guard (free royal guard pike tech) when he had basically no pikes. As a side note, it would be cool if that also researched guard halbs. And then, in order to justify going up with the Papal Guard, he trained pikes when there were only 3 enemy hussars and he already had anticav. It wasn't just at that specific point, though. The whole game the enemy had mostly infantry, but he kept making loads of pikes instead of something like Leather Cannons.

is it possibile that he wanted to quickly destroy buldings and at the same time have an infantry to counter hussars (althought as you pointed out he already sent an anticav card for caroleans)?

@@sp1d3rm0nk3y33 Siege is about all I can think of other than Aiz just being his usual weird self. But even then, why would you train units for siege when your own base is currently being sieged?

I like that eliphent chose the papal guard to age. I like when player do uncommon choice. To any of you Sweden was already toasted due to that unfavourable trades it took in age 3 (11:24) and (15:18, even more) or still could win?

Those two were bad, but we (thanks to hindsight) can see in the postgame graph that he was able to remass very quickly after that and did quite a lot of damage to the opponent. He had also out-gathered his opponent by several thousand res at that point. What really knocked him out of the game was when about a dozen Hospitallers popped out on his army, killing almost his entire army basically for free, including his Jaegers, and then his opponent was able to take down all of Aiz's buildings out on the map.

@@snowisthebestweather Feels like a very sound comment. I agree, that one with Jaeger was very painful.
