Shinji’s abilities work in his favor when he tells his opponents since he can switch a particular direction back, ultimately confusing tf out of the opponents on what to switch and the split second decision making is long enough to capitalize on

Honestly I'd have loved if Shinji could have introduced this ability without explaining it, allowing the audience and his opponent to attempt and figure out why their attacks weren't landing.
You know what I loved about his Shikai? He could improve what it could reverse. After Aizen he made it reverse his words, after Bambi, he made it reverse temperature felt. Picture if he learned how to make it so he could control WHAT was being reversed and WHEN it was being reversed. It'd be insane.
Bleach's battle philosophy changes from time to time but one thing Kubo established that never changed: No matter what your ability is, if the difference in battle capability (this include strenght, speed, skills, reaction time etc...) is too great, it doesn't matter (Kinda the same as One Punch Man with Saitama) That is why Yhwach has to send Lloyd against Yamamoto even if he can steal his bankai That is how even the greatest mind of Urahara Kisuke can't seal Aizen without Ichigo Dangai Form And that is what Aizen intended to do after "Evolving": He knew that he can only overcome the Royal Squad with absolute power and not just wits and plans
I mean, kind of but at the same time shinji's ability isn't actually that powerful, being that it functionally only reverses your visual and auditory senses, and then you have to work with your own strength. Aizen has complete hypnosis which can functionally create entire scenarios which aren't real at all. For all we know, he could have hypnotized shinji to think that he showed aizen his shikai, or that he was approaching from a certain direction. To end, this is why Yhwach was STILL affected by Aizen's shikai despite being stronger than him. At the point that he was, he could've probably killed most of the zero squad except maybe the cloth girl(can't remember her name) because she could also make cloth illusions.
That's child's play to Aizen. It's the equivalent of Kurenai using genjutsu on Itachi. Aizen probably already trapped Shinji under Kyoka Suigetsu before Shinji went shikai.
@@roywempor8395 Yes, but he has to actually release his Shikai in front of somebody to create that initial hypnosis. He said he did it during his fake "Bankai demonstration" to all the current captains and Shinji A. never trusted him; and B. was already long gone at that point. I'm not saying Shinji would be in any way immune to the hypnosis, I'm just saying Aizen never had the opportunity to put him under it in the first place. And by the time he did, he probably didn't think it was necessary. Otherwise, he would have done it to Ichigo too and the whole series would have ended vastly differently.
Shinji is just a bad match for Aizen. Because Shinji's abilities make it pretty much impossible for his opponent to tell where the true attack will be coming from. But Aizen is different. *HE* controls where Shinji sees him. Therefore he knows where the attack will land. All he has to figure out is how Shinji is gonna get there to land a blow. Bu when in any danger, he will just make Shinji see his target where there's nothing but air. In essence Aizen was *TOYING* with Shinji, either taking blows for fun or just making it look this way and calmly observing from the sidelines.

Shinji's words were reversed in the Manga. Aizen couldn't understand him and figured everything out just by fighting him. Also most people forget that Shinji was already under Kyoka Suigetsu's hypnosis when he used Sakanade.
I swear everytime someone fights in this show they just cant keep their mouth shut and bragging about how op is their abilities, saying it'll be an ez win. But ultimately ends with their asses beated. Every f***ing time. But i still love Bleach.
thing is realistically it would delay aizens reactions enough and cause him to slip up enough that shinji would have a realistic chance to damage him enough to make the fight easier. Especially considering how strong shinji was as a captain during the TBTP arc
To be honest there isn’t any reason why Shinji wasn’t cut into two equal parts. But Aizen wants him to bear witness so it makes sense but it doesn’t but it does.
His bankai would make everyone there die theres no point in that and aizen would likely still survive cuz shinjicould of been in a illusuoj the whole time
Shinji Bankai, even if he was alone, couldn't have done anything against Aizen: no Espada, nor Gin, nor Tousen could kill Aizen on a rampage. Gin only succeded because he was cold blooded and well prepared, but Shinji's bankai put enemies in a state of madness without any sense of strategy.
In theory, Shinji's ability is terrifying. In practice, Shinji has to fight opponents like Aizen, who is too powerful for hax, or Bambietta, who is as stable as a bomb and just as unpredictable.
Tbh aizen just makes an illusion and dips. It wouldn't convince Shinji cause Aizen wouldnt know how it works as to replicate it properly, but Aizen can just hide till he figures it out, his illusions are just better than Shinji's
honestly maybe if it actually did more than just disorienting senses and also disoriented the target's movements as well then Shinji would genuinely have won that fight
Aizen could just turn on kyoka Suigetsu and move slightly, flex his reiatsu or throw a barrier around himself. Besides, vizards are cursed to take every L fathomable.
even if aizen wasn't as wise as he is and shinji never gave hints to his ability. He still had absolutely 0 chance. Aizen wasn't even there to fight him and would notice the changes after Shinji had a mock battle with his illusion. On top of that Aizen has enough power to literally submit shinji with reiatsu alone.
The problem is shinji's shikai ability is smth aizen can exactly do without even the opp breathing the just seeing his shikai is enough Since aizen shikai can controle himan senses he do that and way more his shikai is the strongest in the serie and even aizen didnt use the full potential of its he can be potentially unkillable
What's funny it's that it's not even too much of a "Shinji screwed himself by talking about his ability" its more so how if tou have higher spiritual pressure than the one inflicting the effect you can just dispel it
what if shinji went hollow immediately after using Sakanaede against bambieta and speed blitz her and deals a fatal blow? does she live and recover and kill him either way and win or shinji pulls it off?
fr. this man should theoretically be one of the stronger captains. Hypnotizes his oponents, goes hollow and fuckin onbliterates them. never once does he do that. hes a joke idk how ppl even like him.
@excalibruh7626 likewise all the quincies could have killed the shinigami in the 1st invasion If they actually.... acted like it was a war. E.g As Nodt just had to stab Byakuya again. Meninas just decided not to kill Rukia. Same with Mask and As Nodt leaving Renji. Etc etc. Then there's the Shutzstaffel fights where plot armor just goes ridiculous. Not one shinigami gets killed by God like quincies
He could have won if he gaslight Aizen by saying things about his shikai remotely near its actual function and adding extra notes to every new trick he shown
It's not hard to figure out Sakanade's ability in a very short time. The problem is that it's practically impossible to adjust to it even if you do know what it does, especially the more experienced you are. Aizen can literally replicate inversed directions on Shinji with Kyokasuigetsu, thereby canceling the inversion with respect to each other. In this particular case, two wrongs would make a right.

Nothing, Aizen would've still seen through it. In the manga Shinji didn't really do that much trial and error and Aizen figured him out a lot faster. Anime has made Aizen slightly less OP compared to what he was in manga and one of the reasons why Kubo was not happy with earlier arcs of anime. There were many other scenes that anime skipped or distorted.
shinji probably would've atleast heavily weakened aizen because he could probably pull off some trick to make aizen think hes just flash stepping behind him after getting blocked and then switching between actually doing that which would attack him from the part where he got blocked and not flashstepping behind him so aizen couldnt figure it out, but aizen's a genius so he probably would, shinji's also smart but not as smart as aizen, however he's smart enough to develop like 3 different ways and switching between them loads and confusing aizen, easy win. shinji is the real mc gang
This is bullshit, Gin mention to Ichigo that Aizen activate Kyoka Suigetsu since the beginning of the fight, so all of them was fighthing again Hinamori
