One of the most sophisticated bands, one of the greatest albums. I love steely Dan and I was born after Gaucho. One could study only them and become a great musician.

Exactly! Donald Fagen has such a great, dry sense of humor and observations. What a genius.

I was 9 In 1977 I wore my mom’s eight track out. Wore out a vinyl copy also. 1986 Wore out the CD. In five years. Now Downloaded forever. Fantastic work.

This is a truly classic album. Thanks for putting this up, the musicianship is fantastic!

I bought this album in 1977 and I played with earphones and feeding my son at the same time especially Deacon Blues 😊

Donald Fagan kind of reminds me of Stephen Hawking.

More than 20 years later and Jon Herrington is still Fagen's primary guitarist.

Every song on this album was a gem. The peak of SD's creativity in writing and performances. Have used it a thousand times to help perfect my drumming, especially improving feel and subtle phrasing. Thanks guys.

Aja is their best LP but I do love 'Kid Charlemagne' from 'The Royal Scam' which is their best song!

Don and Walter could fly to the far reaches of Siberia and within twenty-four hours of touching down, they’d have the ten best musicians in that part of the world inside a studio, making incredible music. Those guys attracted talent like ants to a picnic.

Steely Dan is in my top 5 favorite bands ever and Donald’s “Night Fly” is a top 10 album. Their music is unlike anything else in the best way.

As great an album as Aja is, I think the follow-up - Gaucho - is just as good, and probably better. I've no idea why that record doesn't get more acclaim....

That is Dennis Chambers I recognize that hat anywhere. ALSO That is NOT Benard's set up. Tell me how many times have you seen Benard play on more than a 5 piece kit? Yet alone a Pearl kit. I'll wait...
