It's interesting to look back to the time period between 1870 and 1936, multiple grotesque incompetent presidencies, the last gilded age and the robber barons associated with it. Part of me wonders what would have happened had FDR not given the robber barons the ultimatum to help or he'd step aside and let labor do to them what the bolsheviks did to the czars and where we'd be today. Think that this gilded age should give a go to that side since we're sure as hell not getting another FDR/FDR-Like in the next decade.
