I always appreciate hearing each of your thoughts, especially regarding fragrances from a line like this which are so overlooked. I hope that you'll film a similar video when you unbox Tonka, I'm curious how you'll both feel about it. Thank you!
Hello, John ✌️ Thank you so much for kind words, we really appreciate that 🙏 We’ve filmed unboxing of Tonka yesterday and I didn’t liked the opening, but Julija liked it. I would love to smell it one more time, but today I almost can’t smell anything, because of stuffy nose 🤧 I don’t feel well 😔 Dmitry
Is some of these two similar to FM The Night in terms of smell, ingredient quality and blending skill? Yes, I saw Adam’s video about his favorite fragrance house. He enjoys the most Incense from this line. Have your tried Ajmal fragrances from their Eternal boutiques?
@@juliscent So the two mentioned are not smooth. They are very much in your face forward. They are rough around the edges. If you can find them for a great price, ok. No, I haven't tried anything else from the house. I'll see about their incense line. Look up Kangiiten. I just ordered something from them and also Kyarazen on the same site. There is a thread started on basenotes. I'll let you know about my order when I get it.Very nice pricing.
@@JohmathanBSwift Thank you for describing Ajmal fragrances and for Kangiiten recommendation. If I understood correctly, there from Singapore. Checked their website, looks great and prices are not insane 😄 I saw that thread on Basenotes. People started to write about them on Areej le Doré thread and someone created new thread for them (probably MAK-7). Would be great if you’ll let us know about Kyarazen 👌
Been waiting for these 😊 Update post watching the video: There were no sparkle in the eyes this time and it received a tepid reception. Is it due to review fatigue or simply a very average release from ajmal? Question: I already have Tonka. Would Santal be redondant ? I read people saying these two share a same profile.
Thank you for watching and great questions. We were not blown away by Santal, but it’s a good fragrance and I enjoy it. Tonka had some notes in the opening that I didn’t liked, but Julija liked it from the first spray. Unfortunately I haven’t smelled the dry down of Tonka yet, because I got stuffy nose and I can’t compare them one more time properly. I hope in a couple of days I’ll feel better and then I’ll spray them both one more time. Also we’ve filmed Santal and Top 20 Xerjoff fragrances in one day, that might be one more reason we weren’t so impressed with Santal, because our noses already smelled a lot of fragrances that day.
@@juliscent thank you for the detailed answer. It's still impressive that you could do the review of Santal after the extensive Xerjoff collection review. My senses get saturated after two or three samplings.
@@FRD-HDD We can understand you, nose definitely gets tired after sampling a lot of fragrances in a short period of time. We’be used to smell a lot of them, but we try to not smell them immediately after spraying and when the first blast of alcohol evaporates than it’s much easier to smell without getting tired too quickly. You can clean your nose by smelling t-shirt for example. We don’t recommend using coffee. During the day human’s nose smells thousands of different smells and aromas.
