It breaks my heart to hear this 😭😭 RIP Kiernan Jarryd Forbes 🕊️🕊️ Friend to countless, brother to many and a man that lived by his own chord.Lyrical genius. Bars laced with intellect and every pun on it intended. Formerly a myth and now an eternal legend…
You'll never understand how talented an artist AKA really was, until the day you try to make your own dope beat appreciated by the world, rap your own bars on your dope beat and sing your own choruses to perfection he did. When you understand that he wrote, sang and produced 90% of his hit songs, you'll understand why he called himself and truly was a Super MegaStar! This was such a sad loss to the South African, African and world music industry at large. #RIPKingAKA! #RespectART
" Benny in the area" aged so well. He just won his first trophy in Manchester. You gave him his flowers while you still had breath. Thank you SuperMEGA🖤
I heard this song once on Radio once , it rarely was played here in Kenya.,I immediately loved it, and because I had not Learnt the words I have been googling the song in vain , It used to ring in my mind and I was getting frustrated every time i searched and couldn't find it, when AKA Died , I found the song coz I was checking his music and I was like aahhh this is the very song I had been looking for , i didnt know it was by AKA. May he Rest in Peace.
Exactly five years today since this gem was released. Still unbelievable that AKA is gone, this was a banger, loved the integration of Fela Kuti's beats on this track.
Still till now on repeat.... all the songs. Like Company is even my new favorite song... guys I can't get over this. I can't imagine how the family is feeling
THANKS! I wish I did it while he was here, it's just so so sad listening and realising this is it. After Mass country drops ka Friday, no more music from this legend😭💔💔
@Boitumelo Lamola no more hits. He carried our flag high. Once other artists become famous they leave the flag behind. We will not produce another artist like this. Writer, rapper, producer.
Its heartbreaking, may his soul rest in peace and let's stay hopeful😊♥️I think he inspired many and we will hopefully see upcoming artists create music inspired by AKAs work.
Rest in peace AKA, you stood with Zimbabweans , voiced against Xenophobia, you stood with the students during the fees must fall protests, your contribution to SA Hip Hop and at Africa at large is greatly appreciated it's not going to be the same without you.

His gift to the world, death is not the end. We all come back to listen to your music and that's proof that Super Mega lives on, in our hearts. Thank you AKA.
I dont know man, everytime i listen to this song I feel like it holds a certain memory I struggle to explain. This is what we call real and impactful music
His sudden death still gives me the chills.😭😭 My heart bleeds out every time I remember/ think about it. The world is not a fair one and It took one jealous individual to gun you down and leave the rest of us with, bleeding and broken hearts. RIP legend
Aka should never stop doing music....he knows his thing. ....originality with a dash of swag. .....shout out to the Nigerian flag. ....Africa we are one
Someone used this song in a short and I started crying. I had to revisit it and pay my respects. Damn. You left just as the diaspora was starting to embrace each other and I have no doubt would've embraced you as well. Whoever is responsible for your death I pray to The Most High will be punished severely for it. Rest easy king ❤
I know you're not here anymore, but I always remembered you as if you were here, I didn't have the opportunity to watch you perform live anymore in the world, you're my favorite rapper. my admiration for you is eternal my nigga
How can you cry and chant Fela In Versace all at once, this song used to have everybody jump in the streets. Now we having silent cry sessions. Oh hayi kodwa they really took our SuperMega, no one will ever come close to this man, his stage presence was unmatched.
@@user-os4ve5zi6h I doubt I will get over his passing, he was my fave rapper here in SA. I still get emotional when I play his music...so sad just heartbreaking!!
Big shot Superstar Punisher Finisher 🇿🇦🔥 This man was hip hop. The confidence mixed with the authenticity always bringing the South African references No fake accents no fake flexing. Just MEGA❤
1 of the best talent ever in SA,brutally taking away from us to soon.I actually chauffeured AKA to a concert he did in Ravensmead a while ago,was a very cool guy.His music will stay among us for years.
Aka, this is just to formally inform you that you have now been adopted by Nigeria 🇳🇬. Please note that you will receive your passport within 3-5 business days 😎🙌🏾👏🏾 I love the equal representation!
I vividly remember how I downloaded this song years ago, and immediately deleted it on phone. Major reason is that it's a classic 👌 ♥️ one that need let blend and play it after while.
Aka is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how he’s developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity he’s been giving has been inspirational! Mans has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. Dude is too nice! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Aka🔥
