The state needs more proof, a payment and a few calls doesnt mean anything. You could send money to your friend then your friend does a crime. Its coincidental. Imagine being arrested just because you sent them money the dame day they commited a crime. Remember its not about what you know, its about what you can prove in court. As it stands now, a payment means nothing. But im pretty sure the state has far more evidence, they are playing thier cards close, as they should. Contrary to popular belief, the police dont have to update the public about thier daily findings, it negatively impacts the case.

South African NPA and it’s police are not doing this properly. You cannot bring up cases you did not prosecute to label your accused with. What they needed to do was to arrest them for known crimes prosecute them on, whilst they are investigating the AKA case and when they have the solid evidence, that also demands that the businessman who paid the blodd money be arrested, they then charge those who are either sentenced for other crimes or are still on trial. It seems as if the police are still in estigating in this case, because if they were not, they would have arrested the mister mind or the business person who is allegedly involved.
