5 damage. Tori procs when you receive attack damage after block. It checks the amount and if it's 2-5 it reduces it to 1. Tungsten Rod procs when you lose HP. So it checks if you lose more than 0 HP and reduces that amount by 1. This is also why Tori doesn't work on self-damage while Tungsten Rod does, as the damage is directly to your health and thus skips the part where Tori checks for attack damage.

I believe it's because Coffee dripper mitigates a lot of the advantage that you get from having high max HP which is being able to rest just once and get around 50 HP back, compared to the normal 24 or so. Coffee dripper has the potential to lose you the game if you don't find enough sustain and a good combination of front-loaded damage and scaling damage. Let's say he gets offered Demon Form, you often have to use it on a turn where you can't block for enough after having to pay 3 energy for it. With rest sites it's easy, you just take a fight and heal up afterwards. Boss fights are usually not that hard with high HP and a card like Demon Form. But when you can't heal, it gets a bit messy sometimes and you can easily die to that. Moreso if you also want to pick up cards like Bloodletting or Offering.

There are tons of other runs you can watch if it bothers you so much
