Easy, this is a tutorial for the 'Deck' method...patent pending. Akai Force Training via Zoom - info@melodymedic.com Have fun! #akaiforce #akaipro #guides #tutorials
Hey Tommy. Nice vid. I was watching an old one of yours while you were using the light, it actually made the screen more readable. Might be good to start using it again
Many thanks for these bite-size tutorials! I've learned loads of other great stuff too by watching you work, as well as on the main subject. Oh yeah, the kill macros are just touch sensitive in that mode so you don't need to turn 'em 😉 Hope ye get more folk watching as the Force reveals its true power... any thoughts on what they missed out in 3.1.1? Cheers 😃
Yeah the "why can't I hear anything"... because I killed all three bands at the same time. It should have some kind of a red alert display for this situation. "Hey DJ Bozo, you just killed everything"
Hi Tom! Cheers for the tutorials. Got a question, if you set the start/tempo of a clip, save the project, switch the Force off then load again, have you experienced clips losing the start points / tempos you set earlier?
Can’t say I’ve had that happen? I’m assuming it’s the bpm of the audio clip, not the main tempo. That said, it can also depend on how or where that audio clip is looped, if the main tempo is changed.
Hi Tom. Good video as always. Did you try automation on master track? I've got to the point where I can write automation with pencil tool but struggling with macros. I've setup filter cutoff but automation doesn't get recorded. Also my force crashed twice while switching to master track view in arranger which is weird.
Yep, all methods work as DJ cue mix. The remix track method is the one when done correctly; makes anyone have the ability to DJ, regardless of skill level.
First of all That stop fx is sick. Maybe it changed in the new firmware or maybe it's just something I'm missing, but when I load a new clip I can't change the bpm until I trim the clip at least once.
Just tried to see the issue in the latest version (3.2.0), seems to work as expected? Try switching warp off, then on again, that should clear most status problems, cheers for watching!☺️
These are completely different machines. Those are specifically built for DJing, the Force is a multi-tool music production device that you can use for limited DJing tasks. On a side note: the Tractor Kontrol S8 works amazingly well with VDJ 2023 stems 2.0, best DJ device I've ever used!
As far as I know there is only one tempo per project. How can you workaround that? If you have a song on 120 and the next one is 115 how can you set the force up to change the project tempo as soon as the scene is launched? How can you have an aprubt tempo change immediately. It's obviously not cool to always dial the project tempo...🤔
That's the only way to do it, unless you use the last method (I think Drum?), as that is more old school and is not affected by the project tempo directly. Like I said, you can DJ with the Force, but it's not built for that as a main (or even secondary) function.
