Always in complete awe of you & your skills w/ electronics. Alot of guys out there doing BT radios, and some really cool stuff, but you truly have an old school skill set that is dying off these days. Thankfully for some of us there are guys like you out there.
@@nizzyamps1317 Excellent troubleshooting! I have the same problem on mine only difference is that mine the grease on the solenoind is not hardened it is nice and clean. Fast forward and rewind work fine only forwrd and reverse are not working. Due to the solenoid not working. I am going to check the microswitch to see if that is the problem. I checled the voltage at the solenoid and i get 23vdc on one side and 26vdc on the other side i checked at both end of the diode. I was thinking that it might be the pinch roller solenoid not working but i had not checkd the microswitch. So i will check it tomorrow. Great work when will you post the next video of the akai? @@nizzyamps1317 Yes you are correct that was the problem. Sprayed some deoxit and i worked the switch about a 100 times and now is fully functional! Thank you so much for posting the video! Cheers
I need to check and see what’s going on with mine. But I don’t know how to open it up. And you seem to have skipped that process.. any chance you could make a video showing that?
My GX-365 Plays fine for about 1 hour then the sound gets lower pitch. It seems like the speed is slowing down when the machine is getting warm/hot. I turn the machine off and let it cool down then it plays normal speed for another hour again. Do you what may cause this problem? Thank you.
