This was a faulty machine passed to me that I have only got as far as getting it to play. I was warned about the Pot Metal cams on these machines and I can now see why. Anyone have a full set of cams for a M-9?

I no longer have my M9 after offering it a few times on UKVRRR and no one taking it up it was unfortunately disposed of. It seems that the Akai machines got a bad reputation due to the metal used for the cams and replacement was a major task if new cams could be obtained. I used it enough to get some old family tapes digitized before it went.
