Wonderful, I have one of these things sitting at my house. I want to put it into good use but haven't seen it in good action yet until I clicked this video. Now I can learn about it more. Thanks for the motivation!
i try one of this few years back and my experience was NOT good at all... basically adding the files to the card for the device to read (i remember weird formats, names, and how big files would be?) was hard and the pads were not so responsive... but i love the fact that is really small and basic to shoot saplers live. There is a new version with 16 pads but i dunno.. looks a bit big whats the experience for you?? should i give a second try?
Hi, I still have my MPX8 and really like this unit. Fact - there are some small problems like sample names (limit to 8 characters) or length (unfortunately I do not remember what - I use mainly one-shot samples) - about the pads - I think they are pretty good - definitely better than in Akai LPD 8 -they are cool -Akai makes the best pads -super-sensitive pads you can find new MPD controllers -but they're still just controllers. For me, MIDI in / outs, main outs, and of course SD cards is a plus, you can load your samples. Another benefit -you can power this unit using a power bank. The Akai MPX 16 is better hardware - has more features, you can edit samples, you even have a condenser mic onboard and more pads - but it's a more expensive and a larger unit. It's worth looking for a second hand on eBay, the new one is not worth the price, you add 50f and you can shoot a sampler with a sequencer. greetings
Pozdro
I've just purchased one of these but everytime I trigger a sample to loop, if I hit any other pad it just retriggers that same loop. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. Also, some of my samples glitch at the end and make a horrible noise.
Hi, I've sold mine a long time ago but from what I remember -you have to assign each sample , or loop to the individual pad. I used to use samples that were prepared and trimmed.
Conosci se esiste un campionatore STAND ALONE che sincronizza automaticamente i sample (premendo i PAD) con i bpm di un brano che esce dalla consolle?@@nawyku
@@KeplarO.F. I don't know of such a sampler (although these new samplers may have such a very useful function). In my opinion, the best solution for this so far is Ableton Live + controller with pads.
