The tell-tale glow of a gassy tube! It's starting to go to air, hence the slight white haloing around the getter. Was hoping the swap would work. I guess some things just like staying dead!

Hi, I have this camera with a sharp VHS recorder. It works with recording but the recording comes out really really bad quality and also green. Do you have any idea what’s happening?

When it's green it's usually because the white balance needs setting. Aim camera at a whit piece of paper and then set the white balance. Make sure you have it set to indoor if that's where you are while filming.

Some cameras have a blinking symbol in the electronic viewfinder that will stop blinking once the white balance has been set. I have not seen my camera working. And also you will see a noticeable difference in the picture. It will look more natural. Since you asked the original question I have tested some of my other video cameras and the picture is green even after trying to set the white balance. So they maybe faulty.
