Akala is a hip hop artist, a writer and an educator.
Poet, rapper, Founder of the Hip Hop Shakespeare Music Theatre and brother of Ms Dynamite, Kingslee James Daley, better known by the stage name Akala, is originally from Archway. Akala was voted the Best Hip Hop Act at the MOBO Awards.
As a social entrepreneur and hip-hop artist, Akala is a regular media commentator and writer for the broadsheets. He is credited with exposing global audiences to his Hip Hop Shakespeare music theatre production company, aimed at exploring the parallels between the works of Shakespeare and modern day rappers.
