They worked too much , they took abundant risk. They are spending their money. Their own right. They are making their ceremony grand with too much efforts. I would like to correct you. Being modern does not mean leaving one's tradition and identify.....those who think otherwise are fooling themselves. In fact they read out their wedding vows in English like done in Christian wedding ceremony. That is not part of a Hindu ritual. Having said that I am okay with it because it is their day and they can celebrate it any way they want. Not only Ambanis every indian should be free to marry the way they want.... traditional or not. Being modern is not about appearance but about having progressive thought and outlook.

I do not agree wid u....if somebody really respects his or her religion....then he or she would always want to marry by their own rituals ....and it is really a harsh reality of the world that when somebidy wants to show him or herself as modern....they tend to show that they do not even give a shit about their own culture ....its ok if u carry out Christian rituals as well afterwards....but its important to be rooted to ur own religion too....I feel that way.....atlast its us who have to promote our culture...
