If you are looking for a good and affordable gimbal for your action camera check out my review of the Hohem iSteady Pro 3: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UWBaMyiYkgQ.html
For anyone interested, the night shots are much better with stabilization off and can boost the EV. Now if I could just find a setting for mic volume. :(
I got one and I’m probably returning it. The video indoors, even with studio lighting, is extremely noisy/pixelated. This seems to be regardless of what video setting I choose. Maybe I got a bad copy but none of my video looks like yours. My iPhone 11 is far superior in every aspect except size. Disappointed. Any suggestions?
Seems like when any company making action cameras tries to keep the costs way down there is always compromises when it comes to the features. Add the extra screen and water resistance, and lessen the image quality and stabilization.
Wow! One thing I didn't notice is that you can charge the Akaso using the USB cord. That's very effective. Especially when travelling long distance. For example I'm from Toronto and travelling to Ottawa, I can just bring my power bank and the cord rather than bringing the charging box which can be a hassle. Other than that, Great video!
go pro ate crap the new 10 overheats constantly ..after 10 previous youd think they would have sorted the problems out , then dodgy phone connection .NO GO PROS ANYMORE EVER
Finally a full review of the much awaited Brave7 LE + front facing screen is usable for vlogging*, selfie and/or group shots + water resistant feature would come in handy during unexpected rains and water splashes - audio from the built-in mic is worst that I expected, totally unusable outdoor (I hope an external mic can be used to fix it) - video quality is below expectation therefore; I look forward for a head-to-head comparison between the Brave7LE and the Brave6Plus (and V50Pro) Thank you Alex for your effort - Mabuhay from the Philippines edit: vlogging* (from blogging)
Great Video review!! Thank You! I ordered one. This will be my 1st camera like this. I believe after seeing everything you demonstrated, it will be all that I need and for the price. Mine was $115 here in December 2021
USB 'charging' port can also be used to connect the camera to your computer as a webcam, or to transfer photos or movies from the camera to the computer, without having to pull the SD card out.
@@RedskullPro Thanks, it seems Akaso always do this, it's a shame.... as the Akaso external mic is not great, I use the V50X on my channel, and was looking to upgrade, but not using the same mic 🙃
I just ordered one to start making youtube videos with and i was on the fence at first. I went with the brave 7 because i wanted an alternative to the gopro overheating problem. We will see how it does when i make my first video with the brave 7
I can't unserstand the regard... Since the FOV its under of gopro... And starting from this fact the world of posibilities for us is only a continuos dissapoint... Sorry im not blind...
This review helped me choose to buy and Akaso Brave 7LE. However, my lens somehow got scratched/cracked. Any recommendations on where I can get it fixed?
wow noaptea e incredibil de proasta calitatea hmmm ziua merge dar noaptea, chiar daca nu te astepti la cine stie ce ... este petarda un pic cam scumputa cred ca as da 100$
I really like your reviews! I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for all the work you put in to make these quality videos! Wishing you lots of future success!
it kinda sucks that they improve one thing and lower the other thing, just to save a buck. Don't u just wish that all the components from version 6 will be on 7 with additional front screen and other new features of 7, plus a mic input cuz the mic is terrible outdoor, and action cam is meant for outdoors, how ironic.
@@RedskullPro i hook the usb cable it came with to the computer and the camera footage shows up in photos, so your saying I should take the sd card out and then see the footage?
I don`t agree on any level....Iv`e had gopros and lost them, i bought this, fed up of losing gopros thought i would try something else. Gopro 8 over contrast and colour to make you think its amazing....As a professional photographer for the past 30 years and retired from it. The Akaso holds the detail, it holds the whites, it holds detail as far as camera of this nature can. The you can not work with something that isn`t there....ie blown out clouds (whites) over contrast and colour that is out of proprtion...like over saturation as the gopro 8 has especially on the blues in the sky...its obvious that the contast is too high....but where do all the numptys go because they have advertising rammed up there nieve arses...I, actually looking at my gopro files in LR along side the Akaso 7Le....the akaso files are far easier to deal with, unpretencious! Its about time people that don`t the difference started to look....but they don`t know imagery so they go for the best advert....the 4k files on this are as good.....sorry to bang on but its the way it is with throw away or loose easily cameras.
AWFUL camera! I just bought one, checked the footage and it was such bad quality. My GoPro hero 3 was so much better. Would avoid by this at all costs!
I bought this camera for mountain biking. The image stabilization is so bad it is absolutely unusable. Also any resolution below 4k is rubbish. The weight/quality everyone talks about also makes it bounce around more when riding so to me is actuallya negative. The provided mounts supplied are also poor quality. Mine broke first ride. So disappointed with this camera. Any chance Akaso will do a firmware update?
I love your reviews! Personally i didn't like the 1080p... In your opinion, which "budget" action cam has the best effective resolution at 1080p? (In addition to the GoPro) Thank you!
This camera might be best for adventure sports such as whitewater rafting. Usually, when I mount an action camera on my raft, it has to be in the waterproof case. With a case, there is almost no sound recorded. With this camera, it is built to be ipx7, meaning that it can be submersed to 3 feet for 30 minutes. This would work perfectly on a raft and the sound would be better. In addition, with the remote control, the camera could be turned off and on from the opposite end of the raft. Of course, the remote isn't waterproof and would have to be carried in a ziplock bag. For rock climbing, it would be good because that situation is normally in full daylight. With the ipx7 rating, dust would not get into the camera. Sound can be recorded. Of course, there is the issue with wind noise. It would be interesting to tape a small piece of cotton over the mike and see if that reduces the wind noise. The first person could secure the camera to a feature on the rock and the second person could use the remote to capture video of the second climber passing the camera. Other sports: Using this action camera for cave exploring might not be good because of the poor light photography of this camera. Perhaps I will try that. For kayaking, it would be good for the same reason that it could be good rafting. For mountaineering, the touch screen would likely be difficult to use in cold weather. Perhaps the buttons could access the screen along with the remote control. For canyoneering, the ipx7 might not be sufficient when diving into pools from 20-30 feet, but perhaps the waterproof case could be used for doing jumps and not used when just getting splashed. Hopefully, the problem of EIS, image stabilization with compared to the Brave 6+ can be corrected by a software upgrade. The lack of an earphone jack is probably the result of trying to make the camera ipx7 waterproof and the tradeoff is good sound as long as there is no wind.
I bought the camera just to use as a "Dashcam" for when I'm riding motorcycles. I didn't want to spend all the money on a gopro. The camera does it's job just fine, the camera quality is enough to recognize license plates at a medium distance and I actually feel like people drive more cautiously around me when they see I have it mounted to my helmet.
THANK U REDSKULL BRO..I AM UR FAN,I LIKE UR VIDEOS .I AM A BEGGINER RU-vid VLOGER . SO I AM PLANNING TO BUY A ACTION CAMERA BUT I DNT HAVE BUDGET FOR BUYING GO PRO...SO I HAVE DONE A RESEARCH NOW I AM CONFUSED OF AKASO V50X , AKASO V50 ELITE AND AKASO V50 PRO SE...SO IF U COMPARE THESE 3 IT WILL BE NICE...THEIR IS NO GUD REVIEW VIDEO OF COMPARING V50 PRO SE AND ELITE...AND ALSO ABOVE MENTIONED 3 CAMERAS SO IF YOU DO IT WITH 3 CAMERAS THAT WILL BE HELPFULL FOR MANY USERS...IN ABOVE 3 WHICH ONE IS BEST...
I really wish that all these action cams would put a threaded lens on to use filters. It can even help a cheap cam a little to have that option. I like the 7le but it gets in a bad light sometimes. a filter can fix that.
I'm new at this so I have a question, why does my camera only record for about 11 minutes and then seems to stop and create a new file and then continue to record.
Hello dear ,i couldnt buy this camera to my country and also there are some with high shipping cost if u can bro plz help me to buy it, i will pay for the product
Great review as always. Put a thin piece of porous foam over the microphone to act like a microphone wind sock. Shouldn't affect the audio very much. Thanks
Sir,one more question to you that which is the best between yi 4k only or akaso v50x for moto blogging .today i am going to buy so i am waiting your suggestion.
Alex, thanks for the video. You videos are now my go-to to figure for lots of products. I recently got an Akaso 7 LE but I'm not really impressed with the EIS. How would you compare this against the DJI Osmo Action?
The Wifi Distance sucks on this camera...Tested it via Ipad Gen 6. Placed the camera on the bookshelf...left the room... I was in sysc till I officially left the room... I was frozen on the ipad screen......Distance roughly 5 feet, then the signal drops....
Hey bro one more suggestion, can you hold action camera shooting front video to check audio quality and not selfie shoot. Want to see both side audio quality.
Hi, and thanks for the excellent review. Regarding the attachments - is it possible to wear it on the wrist? Does it have to go in the waterproof case for that - the only connector I see underneath the main unit is the screw mount. Thanks in advance.
@@RedskullPro thanks. In your opinion is it worth getting the osmo action over the v50? I’m trying to double the action camera as a body camera… maybe I should just get a body camera and use my phone for all my keeper videos.
