Animes like Yona of the Dawn are so rare, this was truly a masterpiece of its own.

I kinda glad that lots of people still search for anything related to Akatsuki no Yona.. Glad that I'm not the only one who can't get over this anime.. Still waiting for manga update....

the most underrated anime show that have ever existed! I WANT A SECOND SEASON NOT JUST AN OVA!

I got goosebumps when this song was played in the last scene of the movie. When everyone stands on the edge of a mountain, looks down at the soldiers and Yona asks everyone to let her borrow their strength. Then their faces slowly become clear under the sunshine. That scene fits the chorus of the song perfectly XDDD

Zeno is just such a great character. His past brought me to tears man. Him being always so cheerful in spite of that breaks me 💔 Really hope he gets a happy ending.

Okay-but when Zeno said “You guys got so big!” And hugged the four dragons and Yona in the last OVA and then this song came on…tears. Just tears.

I want another season.

For everyone who liked this show, go read the manga! Trust me, the anime was barely the prologue, you need to know how much of a boss Yona really is.

Yona is the definition of girl power. this song is powerful it makes you want to dance. in my opinion. Yona had a peaceful life in a kingdom where she doesn't know whats going on on the outside, but when she escapes and meets the dragons she see's more and her character grows more wise and she knows what to do now if she decides to rule over the kingdom again. Yona is the definition of girl power and she motivates girls. in my opinion. she is my favorite character and we need a second season to know more and know how she becomes later on. she is a strong willed girl and she will do anything with the help of her Body-guard (friend!! *cough*crush*cough*) Hak, and the dragon warriors: Shin-ha, Jea-ha, Kija, and Zeno. how will it turn out? will Yona be able to Kill Soo-won?? we may never know!!! AHHH! love it! Edit: it's been a while since I've read the manga, so I'm sorry if what I said sounds stupid.. forgive me.

Seeing Yona's character grow and strengthen over the course of the series makes me feel so proud of her.

I don't think..I can forget this anime in my entire lifetime...it won my heart and for sure it's place is irreplaceable! A legendary masterpiece indeed!

The character development of Yona from a prim princess to a courageous warrior is so well done. You don’t realise it because how gradual and natural it is but after like half the manga is done and you look back at how she was and it makes you so awestruck. And not just her, the character of Hak is so well portrayed too...and his character development is so subtle as well...you just don’t realise but his protective nature only for Yona in the beginning to him wanting to protect all the six is so sweet..

Can’t believe this beautiful series is finally reaching its end 😢

I've never seen a manga so beautifully crafted before. Character development is surprisingly well demonstrated here, which makes the manga better. The storyline is also too amazing! Most heartbreaking one for me was about Zeno’s past :’( I am really in love this Also, I need it’s animated version so badly. Still, hoping they will make it. It was supposed to be animated in 2020 On September. But they didn’t do that (

Listening to this in 2024 does hit different. The melancholy of nostalgia and longing feel kinda distant. Ah, so time has passed.. and we have gotten older, yet again...

This anime has uniqueness from other animes how a life gets changed for a princess who nothing know about outside world but how she started to overcome that conflict in her own way. This anime is like a story evryone fantasized and wondered in their dreams. Powerful legendary warriors who were born to protect under some ancient myths ... truly satisfying to watch i wish this story remains in heart and about songs & bgm fantastic we can feel it...

This anime is simply a masterpiece. Watching this felt like read a classic story. There's not just romance, but also war, greed, and moral dilemma. And by far Yona is the best shoujo MC I know. Smart, strong, and her character developement is really great.

It's been 6 years since I came across Akatsuki no Yona and I'm still hopeful for a second season. I love this series. I wish we get more historical high fantasy series like this one. So grateful for the manga! It's a must read.

Yona's character development is my favourite character development There will be manga spoilers in this. So, Yona is a brat who is spoilt, doesn't thank her father at all, in the beginning. Then she slowly starts maturing and realizing her mistakes. She's now grateful for the little things she has. She rules very well, and when she took over for Soo-won, I was so shocked. She doesn't want to rely on others anymore, she wants to be independent, which is one of the things I like about her. The child born with a silver spoon and a crown on their head, who was raised with everything, became the woman who leads very well, smart, caring, and a character I love.

Yona is a great example of character development. Also the anime was so good, from plot to new characters, music & animation loved everything about this show.

I dropped it when she stupidly decided to basically hand herself to the enemy and return to the capital, when all the chapters before that indicate high danger that would come from a direct confrontation with the ursuper. Yona even learned that not everything is black and white and that her father's policy to give away certain territory to a kingdom that had it wrongfully stolen by her kingdom in the past, might have been the objectively best move. That further shows that the ursuper is in fact not all knowing and does not follow the objectively best solution for the kingdom and its people. This guy wanted to change the country for the better and the only way to do it in his eyes was a coup detat to become king??? When Yona had a crush on him and her father wanted to let her marry him, so he COULD BECOME KING LEGITIMATELY!!! Yona wants to trust such an emotionally unstable and mentally ill person to not hurt her in the castle? Can you imagine, hypothetically, the Jews immigrated to Germany in 1944 because Hitler may have tried to kill them earlyer but now that he has to deal with the Soviets he will surely let them live freely and maybe even help them.

One of the best mangas I've ever read. It's a shame people underestimate it because it seems like a slightly fantasy setting "romance" The art? Plot?? Holy shit. I loved the anime but the manga is so much more.

This the only anime/manga makes me feel so emotional: I can cry, laugh, feel mad and etc. it really deserves more recognition!

Yona of the dawn is the first manga I've read after watching the anime. I never read the manga version if I've seen the anime. THAT'S how much I like it. And even after catching up with the latest chapter I'm still not over it. 😂😂 I've been desperately searching for manga/anime that's similar to this. Sadly what I've seen so far are disappointing.
