It is strongly possible, that the jewish culture was influencing the egyptian culture in a strong way, as it was that they were becoming a great people that led to the new Pharaoh choosing to enslave them. before, they became more powerful than the pharonic power structure. So similarities to belief systems is totally plausible. Moses was educated in egypt but then led the people out and away from bull worship and to a all powerful god who demanded single person worship structure. One should be warned that the author of this video appears woefully ignorant of the Bronze Age history of this area and time. This is a pretty balanced, mainstream summary, but of course there is a whole lot of detail and history which can't be fitted into an elementary overview concentrating on monotheism and any possible connection with the Hebrews. The 18th dynasty is a fascinating area of study, about which we may know a lot more in the near future as better DNA analyses are made of all the existing mummies and archaeological research progresses. We know a lot more about it already than most comparable periods of ancient history up to a thousand years ago. Sadly, wanton destruction of old records by Christians and religions descended from them has forever erased so much of the history and culture of the past, most horribly in the Americas. To that end, the actual story of the character Joseph 'could be' either Akenhaten or Horemheb. Another possibility is the visier Imhotep to pharaoh Djoser. I say this because of the large storage bins at the Djoser pyramid complex site (possibly built to accommodate the 7yr surplus prior to the 7yr famine) as well as the description of Imhotep as compared to the back story of Joseph's importance to the (unnamed) pharaoh. I think the bibles time line is wrong!! I think Akhenaten was the son of the pharaoh who knew Moses. His older brother died, plages, isolation after the slaves(Israelites) left. And in this resurrected state he could not enter again into the spirit world as he had before, but was given power to leave the boundaries of the earth according to the commandment that he received from the Father in the beginning. 16 And for the small space of time in between the death of his mortal body and his resurrection, Jesus entered once again into the spirit world and bestowed upon Michael all the powers and authority that he had received from the Father, so that Michael could rule and reign in the spirit world. 17 And now, this is the mystery that hath not been revealed except unto those who have been faithful and received the knowledge of God by way of the spirit of God. For behold, Michael is the other member of the Godhead, yea even the Holy Ghost. 18 And when the Lord entered the spirit world after his mortal death, he gathered all of those who would rise with him, even immediately after his resurrection, he being the first fruit of the resurrection. 🔘CHAPTER 8b: The Spirit World 21 And as many of the children of God, yea even the spirits who are ready and willing to obey the law of the gospel, or in other words, the law that governeth the kingdom of God; even when any one of these is ready to be resurrected, he shall receive his eternal body and return again to the kingdom of the Father to await the end of His work in this part of His kingdom. 22 And those spirits who are not ready to obey the law of the gospel, and also those spirits who have been chosen to serve the Lord and his purposes, either continually in the spirit world, or in the flesh upon the earth, are not resurrected. And these remain as spirits until those who have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ have accepted this gospel and can live by it forever. 23 And many of these spirits must return again to the earth, even as many times as it is required of them to learn the things that they must learn in order to be able to reside in the kingdom of the Father forever as an immortal being. 24 And it is under the direction of the Holy Ghost that the determination is made whether or not an individual spirit is ready to be resurrected. And this is what is meant by having your calling and election made sure. For this election is sealed unto those who have prepared themselves for the resurrection by the power and authority of the Holy Ghost. And they are chosen and anointed unto the resurrection based on the works that they do during the course of the days of their probation. 25 And if during the course of the days of their probation they listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and follow the commandments which shall be given unto them by the chosen prophets and revelators of the word of God in mortality, and also by the power of the Holy Ghost in the spirit world, then they shall be received back into the spirit world into a state of happiness, according to their desires of happiness, waiting patiently in joy for the eventual day that they are called forth by the Holy Ghost to receive their resurrected body and return to the kingdom of their Father. 26 And those who waste the days of their probation, yea, even those who spend their days seeking after the things of the world and seeking for the honor and praise of men; yea, and those who live in riotous living unbridled in their lusts and passions, disobeying the commandments of God as they are presented to them by His prophets and revelators; yea, even these shall return again to the spirit world and be received into a state of misery and pain knowing that they have disobeyed the commandments of God. 27 These shall find themselves unprepared for the kingdom of God and shall have to return once again to mortality to learn the lessons that they did not learn during the days of their probation. 28 And this is the patience and the love and the mercy that the Father hath for His children, even so much that He giveth them many opportunities to learn the things that they must learn in order to live in His kingdoms forever. 29 And there are many who have lived in mortality many times. And the most righteous spirits lived at the times when it was the hardest for the children of men to live upon this earth, yea, even in the times of the greatest hardships and miseries. And these are those who are of a Celestial glory. And most of them will have already been resurrected and shall come with the Lord when he once again returneth to the earth in his glory to prune his vineyard for the last time. 30 Nevertheless, there are many noble and great spirits who chose not to be resurrected and have elected to stay in the spirit world, or who come back to the earth to help their fellowmen learn the gospel of Jesus Christ and help prepare the spirits of all men for the kingdom of God. 31 And those who are weaker spirits, and who have chosen their desire of happiness as that of a Terrestrial and Telestial state and would not have been able to handle the hardships of mortality, yea, even many of these are living in the last days before the coming of the Lord in his glory, even when the power of Satan hath taken away many of the vicissitudes and hardships of life and given unto them things that were forbidden to come forth in the days of the hardships of their ancestors. 32 And many of these will find their happiness in the last days and will search out the things of the world and aspire to the honors and praises of men, thus straying away from the gospel of Jesus Christ which would cause them to search first for the kingdom of God. 33 But because of the happiness that Satan hath been allowed to provide for them, they believe in their hearts that they do not need the kingdom of God. And there will be many of them that are convinced by the precepts of men that the kingdom of God hath already come, and that they belong to this kingdom, and in this kingdom they believe that they have found their happiness. 34 And there will be many spirits that will not be ready for the resurrection when the Lord cometh in his glory, but will be given another chance to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ when he ruleth and reigneth once again in his glory upon the earth. 35 And now, it is expedient that I, Moroni, explain how those in the spirit world interact with those in mortality. And when we have reached an age of maturity that is becoming of a spirit who is ready to enter into the second estate, or the state of our probation as it hath been explained unto you; yea, when we are ready for this second estate, the Father placed our spirits in this world in the part of His kingdom that He hath assigned to us. 5 And when He placed our spirits in this world, he caused that none of us could leave the boundaries that He hath set for the laws of nature that govern this world. 6 And even though our spirits are not subjected to the same laws of nature to which our mortal bodies are subjected, they are still subjected to the eternal laws of heaven to which all of these natural laws are subject. 7 Therefore, the elements that make up our spirits are confined to this earth and the atmosphere and gravity that keepeth all things upon this earth. 8 And in the latter days, many of these laws shall be made known unto you. And these laws have been known by all of the prophets of God since the world was created; nevertheless, they were commanded not to reveal these laws in their entirety to the people until the own due time of the Lord came in which he would allow these laws to be known among them. 9 And ye of the latter days shall witness that which occureth when the children of men begin to understand these laws. For they shall take these laws and begin to destroy the earth from which our bodies of flesh and bone are created. 10 But our bodies of spirit are made of elements that are not subjected to the same laws as our bodies of flesh and bone, as I have previously explained it unto you; and therefore, these bodies cannot be affected or destroyed like unto the elements of the earth, which are subjected to the lower laws of nature. 11 Yet, in a spiritual state, we are all consciously aware of all things that transpire in the mortal state. But those of a mortal state, are not aware of that which transpireth in a spiritual state. Therefore, in a spiritual state, or in the spirit world, we can observe and learn all things that all mortals can observe and learn during the days of their probation. 12 And we have the power to take upon ourselves flesh according to that which we need in order to teach us the things that we must learn in order to prepare ourselves for the kingdom of the Father. 13 And for this reason we are given the agency to chose for ourselves which gender we desire to be during the days of our probation. 14 Behold, we are also aware in the spirit of that which passes during the days of mortality, and therefore, we are in a better position to choose for ourselves in what mortal situation we are desirous to be born. 15 And if we are weak as a spirit, and know not in which situation that we should place ourselves, that we might better prepare ourselves to live in the eternal kingdoms of the Father, then there are those spirits in the spirit world who counsel with us and help us determine what is the best for us. 16 Now, all these things are according to the independent state in which the Father hath created all of us. For He created our spirits and gave us our free agency to act according to our own desires. 17 And He doth not force us to come into mortality and be rich or poor, bond or free, male or female, black or white, but hath given us the freedom to choose for ourselves the thing that we desire for each of us according to our individual desires of happiness. 18 Behold, the only concern of the Father is that we learn to love each other, and accept each other, and live with each other in peace and harmony, so that we will not disrupt His kingdom when we are finally put there forever by Him. 19 And now, this judgment of whether or not we are ready to enter into the kingdom of God is not given unto us to know, and is not something that we can determine for ourselves. Behold, this judgment can only be made by the Father and those whom He hath chosen to make this judgment for us. 20 For no man can say of himself, I am ready to live forever in the kingdom of God with an exalted body that will never die. For if we could determine this thing for ourselves, then many of us would deceive ourselves and take upon us a resurrected body that we could use to disrupt the kingdom and order of God.

FYI ) You're talking about Tuthmosis - I can only assume that you're reffering to Tuthmosis IV since he's the one closest to Akhenatens reign. This however confuses me seeing as Tuthmosis IV ruled from 1401 BCE to 1390 BCE and subsequently died about two whole decades before Akhenaten was born. Thutmosis IV is followed by Amenhotep III - Akhenatens father - who ruled Egypt, very successfully, for 38 years, i.e. 1390-1352 BCE. Did I miss/-understand something or did you just accidentaly mix them up...? ... I'd like to get into Atenism, the origins of the Aten cult as well as the expression it was given by Akhenaten - the theology, if you will.
