Akhilesh Yadav Lok Sabha Speech | In a direct message to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav expressed hope that the new Lok Sabha would avoid actions such as the suspension and expulsion of MPs. While congratulating Birla on his election as Speaker, Akhilesh emphasized that suspending MPs undermines the dignity of the House. He urged that no public representative's voice be silenced and that expulsions not occur in the future. Akhilesh added that while the Speaker’s authority is often exercised over the Opposition, it should also extend to the ruling party to ensure fairness and uphold democratic principles.
